depends on what you want ...SE wise there is not much to go on..... personally I see it as wasted prime real estate. but thats me.....

Not that I'm an expert on the subject by any means, but the two diffrent lay outs really turns me off. As a rule, you always want the same layout, font, and colors within the site. Just my
