lol i did that once... was in ICU for 10 days... First day out they rolled my ass in a wheel chair and ivs in both arms out to smoke lol

Main problem is lack of stamina - it's getting a lot better than it was but I still get very tired very quickly if I do anything that needs any physical effort. My right arm is a lot weaker than it was before the stroke but it could have been a lot worse. I was very lucky apparently, although it didn't feel like it at the time. It scared the shit out of me.

I woke up at 4:30 am in bed - suddenly aware that I was having problems moving. I was awake, in no pain, but couldn't move my right arm. Part of me was saying 'of course you can move your arm' and the other part was saying 'no you fucking can't'

understood. guess im lucky... my excuse for no physical activity is that that 39 days in the hospital was for cutting off all my toes with a lawnmower hehe

The worst part really was not so much that my arm wouldn't move, but that it was there just totally ignoring me......it wasn't even saying 'no I won't move' , it was as if it wasn't even part of my body - it's very hard to explain.
