I truly am surprised that the industry hasnt come together for a mulitple lawsuit against them - no mainstream company would survive if this happened - so why do people put up with all this shit??

Just too stubborn to admit they were wrong about something and will fall over a cliff and 4 feet from hitting the ground will still say, "see safe so far"

Thats good they are trying to get people paid thats a very good sign . When you want to bitch think globil . Give them a fucking break they are trying to do the right thing. I didnt get paid on the 15 th either so we are all in the same boat. You want to get paid supporting them will better the chances of that happening then talk of lead pipes and class action law suits. Use your brains.

I assume you are addressing this to someone other than me. Despite these annoyances I support them wholeheartedly and actively use them on my sites.

As long as they can process cards they will pull through this. Globill and the like lost their ability to process completely.

Not everyone is in a position to weather this storm. Some webmasters may lose their entire business over this shit, or lose their credit ratings. Some may have to file bankrupsy. Some need their money RIGHT NOW, not later.

In business you have to be ready for this , the deli and hair dresser down the street were in a building that burned to the ground . Our industry is not the first to have disasters happen. You cant treat it like a job ,you have to plan for these things and if there isnt enough money for that , its time to get a day job. I worked a day job for the first year we were pay and we didnt touch a dime of that money unless it was to go back into the business. Also this shows the importance of having up sells on your sites. Those upsells we added have really helped out during these tight times.

Sorry for asking a maybe dumb and newbie question, but I havent been using upsells at all yet - how did this help you in relation to this crisis? And exactly how/what do you do?

My wife and I have a website, adding aebn, lars ,peekshows , hot movies and I dont what else my wife has in there lol Has made a difference (getting a extra grand or so a month from that)also having achdebit doing our checks. When processing was off for visa the checks took up the slack. Its been a little tight but not end of the world .

What you say is true, but you also probably know that a lot of people are still treating this as a means of secondary income and don't approach it as though it were a business. They still might need the $$, even if they do have a 'regular' job.

The problem is that ibill has been billing and rebilling my customers all along. If they have collected MY money, they SHOULD be able to pay ME. If they can't, it is either because (i) they are using it to pay (in full) their bigger clients and clients who have threatened legal action against them, or (ii) they are using it to pay themselves due to the fact that they have lost 80% of their pre-september business. Either way, that looks really bad for the rest of us.

I am small time compared to Lensman or Scoreland, but I do make a significant amount from ibill transactions. At this point I see no alternative other than legal action (which I really can't afford, btw). Otherwise, I don't see them paying us at all -- EVER.

If anyone here is in the same boat as I am and would like to discuss the possibility of legal action, please LMK. Any attorneys reading these baords are free to drop me a line also.

Who is taking advantage of whom here? You're the unpaid client and it's not Verotel that's not paying you. From what I've read other people are looking for alternatives to being held hostage. Not to mention all the posts I've endured about Verotel being the next to go for the past 2 years. For whatever reason you feel you should come to their defense, my advice to you would be to stick it out to the bitter end.

My original intention since I was perusing the board was just to let people know we're still around. Which was done with a simple "Hi". It would have been different if I came in here putting iBill down but I didn't.

That's your choice...but as the playing field gets smaller, you're only limiting yourself. I'm done here folks! Otherwise the next thing you know I'll be accused of making an iBill thread into a Verotel thread which of course was also not my intention. Any additional comments/questions (Calvinguy) use the e-mail link in my sig.

We dont use Ibill anymore, but they have paid some of what was owed. So good on em. And as someone else pointed out, At least they are activly trying to save their own ass, unlike GlobillGlofuk did. They made no attempt at all, and raped 1000s of webmasters, including my own sexy ass.
I can really feel for webmasters still owed bling, been their, done it, know the score. Its bad but least they are in with a shout to pull it of. As for legal action, sure you can try, but when a company goes under thats about end game. We tried to secure payouts from globill using every legal way possible. It was pointless and expensive in the end. The latest news was a call to our office asking if we wanted to buy parts of the old fucking company. unreal. Globill sold in the end for 2.5k --- unreal--- Im not sure if Ibill can pull it of, I hope so, but all is not lost yet!

Well pointed out Darryl! We been using Verotel for a number of projects, support has been great, and the ability to speak to voice in EU hours is an asset! And yep Verotel has paid us week in week out.

Doesn't really matter anyway....we're still around....AND paying our customers.
The way I was treated by verotel was totally shameful - You totally epitomize the crooked end of this business.
