I sit aside everything that was said at the trial other than the fact that his wife washed up at a location just a few miles from where he put himself. The reason I sit aside everything else that was said at the trial is because I think all of it proves nothing more than the man is a liar...and an adulterer.

The fact that his wife washed up a few miles from where he put himself...makes me think that he killed his wife...but I do not think that because I think that he killed his wife that the prosecution has presented a case that raises to the level that the law requires..."beyond a reasonable doubt". Thus I would vote to aquit.

I suspect that this new jury is going to vote guilty as they brought in a verdict within a few hours. I will not be surprised if they even vote for 1st degree murder.

I personally do not think that (assuming that he killed his wife) he is guilty of either 1st degree or 2nd degree murder...but instead manslaughter. In other words...some type of confrontation took place and he accidently killed her.

In any case, he may be able to go to trial again in a couple of years, and may be prove this time that he didn't do it.

There was zero forensic evidence to indicate that the head and limbs were detached other than by natural decomposition of the body and/or elements. Thus Peterson did not decapitate her or remove her limbs.

Since there is zero evidence of Peterson having an angry or violent nature...from childhood to adulthood...I suspect his wife and he had a verbal confrontation that led to a physical confrontation and during that confrontation he accidently killed her. He may have put a "choke hold" on her to subdue her (one of my favorites that I have used more than once) and she died as a result. It is not a common thing for a person to die from a choke hold but it does happen from time to time. That is why most police forces do not use the "choke hold" to subdue a perp any more. None the less...there are multiple ways that he could have accidently killed her.

He did not have a viable motive to intentionally kill her.

Pay attention . . . he did not cut her head off, and the prosecution doesn't even expect anyone (not even you) to think that he did.

The head came off because it was in the fucking ocean for 2 months or something . . . and the fish were hungry.

The reason it was 1st degree is because they say he started planning it when he bought the boat back in October, so they say he had been planning it for 2 months.

Motive, he did not want to be a daddy.

I hope I never have to go to court on the flimsy evidence they got scott peterson on its fucking scary. He was found guilty by the media before the trial started.

This is a very evil crime. The fact that the two victims should have been able to rely on Peterson's protection as a father and husband makes this all the much more to stomach. Even a stranger killing the two of them would have been more acceptable than this.....
