There was zero forensic evidence to indicate that the head and limbs were detached other than by natural decomposition of the body and/or elements. Thus Peterson did not decapitate her or remove her limbs.
Since there is zero evidence of Peterson having an angry or violent nature...from childhood to adulthood...I suspect his wife and he had a verbal confrontation that led to a physical confrontation and during that confrontation he accidently killed her. He may have put a "choke hold" on her to subdue her (one of my favorites that I have used more than once) and she died as a result. It is not a common thing for a person to die from a choke hold but it does happen from time to time. That is why most police forces do not use the "choke hold" to subdue a perp any more. None the less...there are multiple ways that he could have accidently killed her.
He did not have a viable motive to intentionally kill her.
