ATT:ALL GALLERY MAKERS
At Library of Thumbs as of 9-14-2001 we are adopting two new policies..
#1..No counters #2..No Recips buttons or text #3..NO EXCEPTIONS Galleries are loading way too slow... The less images the faster the load.. When a counter server crashes or goes down..the page never finishes loading due to the surfers browser trying to locate the counters server.. Hey Humbolt - what's the deal with the daily category spots and the ownership...?? I had emailed you about it a couple of times and never got a response.
Paid servers and ultra clean galleries ... the samples may have had counters on them but I mentioned the fact that I will do whatever it takes for a spot. No counters/trackers, what the fuck? That's two thumbs down.
Unlike 3rd party counters, there is nothing wrong with a counter/tracker installed on a site's own domain... it loads as fast as possible. Site usage stats are crap anyway. Plus, anyone can size1 a counter, it means that you're going to have to scan the html code. The recips thing, I can agree with. ok..first.,
I have a program that tells me whatever I want it to as far as what is in the gallery. All major counters are listed in it If somebody wishes to use a counter that is on thier own server that is fine..if the gallery loads...the counter will also and visa versa. Idinternet If the rules dont suit you...dont submit..simple as that. The Truth, I have not yet completed all the top spots.. If I have your applying gallery..it will be reviewed and you will be notified if you get a top spot. Tam...hehe Thanks babe. Last but not least, Lane.. This is a webmaster board. What about the refferal tag from Sex List, its hidden and doesn't slow the page from loading.
Anyways Humbolt the only real thing I use a counter for is to see if a site listed my gallery or not. The numbers I worry about are the sign-ups, is there a way though that you could confirm that galleries have been posted or this that a pain in the ass?
