Marines getting arrested for shooting the enemy is bullshit. I don't agree with the war but these guys are doing their fucking job. Shoot the camera crews so our guys don't continue to get killed or arrested over bullshit.

i agree but the arrest is only for show, it'll go to trial and be deemed self defense since you never know who or what has a bomb strapped to its chest. wounded or not, if that dude made a sudden move i'd have capped his ass too.

apples and oranges man, u cant compare people who are LOCKED up in jail being humiliated to someone who is on the battle field being shot at, shooting someone who may or may not have had a weapon.

i think you've been sniffing too much glue, the government does not control media, if anything media keep government in check. Government does pick and choose what it wants the media to know, but it's not like the media doesn't find shit out on it's own despite the whitehouse's attempts to cover things up.

Shooting half dead Mofo's that are unarmed and laying on the ground is just lame no matter what your stress level is.

UCMJ (unifrm code of military justice) is clear on that one and the possible political fall out from such lame actions can lose wars.

Couldn't he have just kicked the guy in the nuts and been done with it? At least he could then claim that the kick was to see if the guy was still alive.

Lame. No doubt that he will be charged and convicted.

Keep in mind that if we do this in large numbers without procecuting the individuals it will then become a war crime and upper commanders will then face charges.
