I have a couple of SEO questions...
When you're researching competition for a given keyword - how much of an impact does the competition's PR of their domain name have on their SERPs position?
for example, they rank 1st for "keyword" but it doesn't link to their main page.. it links to www.blah.com/blah.html - how much significance does the PR of www.blah.com itself play? and... when you're targeting a keyword, obviously it helps to have the keyword as your domain name - but how much does that value decrease when you add "-" between the keyword words? like: "Men Hair Styles" as "men-hair-styles.com" or "men-hairstyles.com" Thanks |

Page jackers can win/steal prominence over your 'keyword domain' which demonstrates that there are many other factors which are taken into consideration. Separating words with delimiters like '-' does technically parse better, but 'dashed' domains are not as surfer friendly or 'classic'. You can achieve your SERPS dominance through your pages and directories, which should have delimited keywords '-' or '_'. ![]() -Dino |
