Why would you use a payment processor that does not have a long term history? At the very least you can not be surprised this has happened.

Why not go and spend the necessary money to secure the future of your business? Incorporate in the US or EU and you will have secure billing options.

Why dont you guys go and get your own merchant account in Canada?

It doesnt make any sense why you would put your recurring database at risk by using companies like this.

It takes money to make money!

Thanks BigL. The thread at Xbiz is pretty intresting and loaded with new info about Nexus. If they are drinking Piña Coladas on a beach with our money, I'll be pissed alright and will at least go for a collective complaint to the authorities with you all.

11/16 payments are now posted... wonder if we'll actually get them.

If they're screwing us, rather than just experiencing problems, why pay us? Why not communicate?

In theory, your post is correct ...

But in the real jungle, it isn't...

I have a US corp, I went with the Visa fees and a long tiime standing biller:

IBILL

In Canada, banks are very few ( 6 or 7 huge banks ) and they don't like touching on line, and even worst adult...

I used a little bit Nexus ( never had a problem), a Euro Biller also, and now I replaced Ibill by Paycom, tough I will still send joins to Ibill so that my account stays " active " ....

Nothing!!!

Youll be angry and frustrated for the weeks to come and
at this stage you have inner-confidence you will get paid BUT this
is just a part of the wonderful world called "third party billing solutions".

Many will tell you "dude, that sucks.. but you should have used
whateverbill.com like we do.." well let me tell you: they will
experience the same pretty soon!!

Youre fucked buddy!!!!

I received this email from Nexus

Dear valued merchant/webmaster,

The bank has frozen all of Nexus XI's funds over an alleged "breach of contract". While Nexus XI does not agree with this judgment, Nexus XI does not have the funds to pursue legal action as all of its assets are presently frozen.

Nexus XI advises that any merchants that have not already done so should seek a new billing solution.

The bank has promised that any funds remaining, after any charge-backs, refunds, and penalties, will be released back to Nexus XI after 6-8 months have elapsed. Upon release of Nexus XI's assets, Nexus XI intends to pay all monies owing to its merchants and creditors at that time.

In an effort to maximize funds available for payment to merchants and creditors at the end of this 6-8 month waiting period, Nexus XI will be eliminating staff and extended services.

The processing engine and main website will be left online to handle normal customer cancelations and account expiry.

Nexus XI Communications Inc.

what a terrible state of affairs for them. With the small amount of dealings I've had with them, they are very good people.

sigh
no sign of $$ yet
wonder if they are still around
or if there is way to find which bank froze their account so that affected webmasters can hit them before the money is handed over to them?
