Designers question....
Do any of you use a pressure sensitive drawing pad? If so, what are you using and is it reliable and accurate? I am thinking of getting one but if they suck then I will keep on trucking like I have when it comes to illustrations and such. Thanks in advance...

TRY Walcom, once you get use to it, you will feel very high, just like "I'm flying"!

I use a wacom and it's really good, at the begining seems complicate to use it, but once you get the feeling it's nice.
model... well, depends on the money you have to spend on it. graphire is good for the begining

Wacom.
Of course there are some features that I would like to see on it, but other than those, it's the most precise, and sensitive pad on the market.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Seems Wacom is the way to go. I am checking into one now.

I've got the little Graphire 3. Pretty much rocks. I imagine the Intuous would be better but I had a budget to stick with.
Personally, there's no way I can draw on it and create something. That's sort of what I had in my head when I bought it but alas - if you can't draw something on a piece of paper, you can't do it on a Wacom either. That said, for photo retouching and highlighting designs it kicks ass. Take your whole PS design, add a layer on top of 50% gray set as overlay, then start dodging and burning that layer with the pressure sensative brush and you'll fall in love real quick. |

I love my Wacom Graphire 3. It works much better if you change the settings in the control panel. You can change the tracking and pen tip feel to match your drawing style. I too would like to get an Intuos, but they are way too expensive for me right now.
