If you're a government leech, vote for John Kerry.
Your taxes will rise. If you're a government leech, vote for John Kerry. Otherwise, a vote for John Kerry means more out of your paycheck. Don't buy the Clintonesque political demagoguery that Kerry will sock it to the millionaires while leaving the rest of us untouched. Look at Kerry's Senate record instead.
If you're a member of the middle class, Kerry wants to raise your taxes. If you own stocks or a car, Kerry wants to raise your taxes. If you die or get married, Kerry wants to raise your taxes. Even if you use the Internet, Kerry might want to raise your taxes; he said in 2001 that online taxation would be needed in the near future. Kerry voted against the Bush tax cuts. Kerry has promised a tax increase of $700 billion -- and that's a low-end estimate. If he actually fulfills his campaign spending promises, make that estimate closer to $1.7 trillion. Don't be surprised if a Kerry administration transforms economic boom into stagnancy or even recession.

With the way Dubya's run up the deficit, there's no choice but to raise taxes.
The real answer is to dramatically decrease government spending. |

I would rather pay more taxes.... as long as it went to the right purpose...
I voted for a $100 per year per person tax increase in the state of oregon that would have gone to support schools, It was declined, and instead of paying $100 per year, I now have to pay $1000 extra per year for my wifes college tuition.... Thanks alot you fucking assholes!!!!

Exactly.... Shit I would pay 10,000.00 or more a year in taxes just to be rid of Bush. How anyone in this industry could support that right wing wacko is beyond me. Also, his extreme views are FAR from the only reason to rid ourself of this clown. The list is far to long to go into here and now. I have been a voting Republican for 22 years. Never again! It turns my stomch to think where we will be in four more years with Bush as President. Bring on the taxes!

So how you recommend getting rid of the huge deficit Bush has gotten us into without raising taxes on the upper class (and possibily middle class)? Bush tax cuts are a political ploy to get votes....simple as that. Gains support by from the upper class (see quote at the end of this post) who give me money for his campaign.
Bush is running this country like has ran his failed businesses in the past...into the ground. This time, he doesn't have to worry about bankrupting the company or profit..he can mismanage funds anyways he wants. Quote:

If Kerry raises taxes to raise money the US needs so be it. I'd rather do damn near anything than see Bush in office for another 4. He will have nothing to lose then and nobody to keep happy.

I respect your opion and feelings on taxation...
but if you can put aside your primary concern of how to keep more of your money... (there are many legal ways, I'm certain, that you are aware of to shelter them) and please, look at some of the other vital issues at hand... our prosperity depends on a strong global alliance, both on and off the battle field... giving up some money to protect our rights, freedoms etc, is well worth it imo...

Taxes were higher under clinton and the country had some of its greatest prosperity. The wall street journal not a liberal newspaper looked at the bush tax plan and the kerry tax plan, you didnt get affected from kerry until you hit 275k a year and then it was a whopping $2500.
People yell I love this country ,I'm proud to be a American .Then in the next breath wait you expect to pay my fair share of taxes ? and then they bitch lol. |

Ok, I just wanted to be clear on who it is that I was talking to. We've met before in Las Vegas so you are now at least not an unknown entity to me like so many other posters on this board.
I posted this reason in a thread earlier this week but I will post it again here. In the next four years the acting President will be appointing up to three Supreme Court Justice positions. It has been 10 years since the last appointment, an unprecedented time period. Most likely to retire are Stevens, Rehnquist and O'Conner. Bush has made it clear with his Court of Appeals appointees that he plans to nominate conservative candidates. Look at the history of the COPA and you will see why this is so critical for us. COPA narrowly escaped passage with a 5-4 vote in July. Stevens was on our side of that case. The Department of Justice has indicated that they will bring another version of COPA and it is likely that this issue will be revisited in the next 4 years. On top of that specific case, in the next four years the Justices will also be looking at alot of issues that revolve around freedom of speech, the limits of police and state powers and church-state relations, all of which have an impact on our industry. Alex, higher taxation is indeed a concern of mine should Kerry get elected. In the end though this would be at most just a percentage increase on my taxes. I submit to you that there is a much more worse financial situation that could result from Bush being elected. |

Alex focused this issue on money. I have plenty of other reasons why I don't want Bush to win but I wanted to keep it tightly focused on just the money issue since it was the thrust of his argument. If you really want to protect your money, there are solid reasons why adult industry folks who are taking even the most conservative routes should be concerned about a Bush victory in November.

So you believe that Bush will abolish all internet porn, print media and distribution? Are you kidding me? You actually believe the shutdown of pornography is in the top 10 of his priorities as President? First off, he might be able to appoint a judge but the senate has to confirm. There is more to it than to say Bush will shut us down. What is Kerry's stance on pornography? No One knows because he has never said what his stance is. Pornography has been here for a 1000 years in various forms and it is pretty safe to assume it will continue to be here when you and I are gone.

We know that Bush plans on offering up very conservative candidates for not only the Supreme Court but also for Court of Appeals, Attorney General, FCC and any other positions that he can. We know this because he has done this without exception every time he was offered an opportunity. It is true that appointments require Senate approval, but lets look at the likely outcomes there: a) The Senate stays Republican controlled (as it is widely anticipated it will). Bush's nominations go through. b) The Senate becomes Democratic controlled. In this event if the Dems attempt to block confirmation, Bush has two tactics---he can start trading favors like has been a long time tradition in Washington or he can do a full court press with the media. A vacancy at the highest Court will get front page coverage as will the fact that confirmation is frozen due to Democrats. The heat on those democrats will be enormous and they could very well fold on that alone. My real question to you is would you want to be in a position where you are relying on Democrats to block the confirmation of a Justice that will allow legislation that could dramatically affect your livelihood? Would it not be better at this point to seek to prevent the nomination from happening in the first place? |

Bush does not have the experience or knowledge to be president. He is in office due to a failure in our system. He has caused great damage to this country in his 4 years in office. If relected he will do more damage. Neither candidate has a chance of fixing the economy or our world position in 4 years but Kerry has 20 years of experience and a better grasp on reality.

The excuse to vote for Bush is that Kerry wants to fix Bush's mistakes, but doesn't have a clear plan in your eyes so we should keep Bush in office to keep making mistakes. Great logic.

Fiscal Conservatives need to wake up and realize that the (R) beside Bush's name means nothing. The real Republican party has been hijacked. Forget the old labels and pay attention to what's actually happening. You can no longer afford to faithfully accept the dogma that 'republicans spend less, and democrats spend more'.
