Drop (postpone) school or business. One or the other. Will help a lot. I would choose sticking to business and dropping school for the time being

Don't quit school, scale back one of your businesses..

A lot of the people on this board are over, half way through their careers and beyond. You are just starting off.. ask yourself "do you see yourself doing online porn for the rest of your life" or "working on the internet". Then ask yourself where the internet was 10 years ago, and where it will be 10 years from now. Then think about what you will be doing in 20 years. My point, a college degree is security, as long as you take it seriously and get it in something worthwhile.

You don't have any problems. You're young and healthy and making money and getting laid. Quit school if you want to make more time in your day. College is mostly bullshit anyway. What are you really going to go do with a degree? Give up your succesful business and go get a boring job in a corporate environment somewhere? I graduated a 4 year university summa cum laude with a BS in Business Administration and I can seriously say that I learned almost nothing relevant to real business. No one does, unless you count memorizing some facts and learning how to put on a suit and tie and give a presentation in front of the class and other such bullshit.

Seems you're building a life that is running you, not the other way around as it should be.

SIMPLIFY things for yourself. You're still so young, there's no need to be running yourself ragged like you are. Living in an instant, disposable society it gets a little tough to grasp the concept of doing things over time versus "right now".

Think of it this way...

Better to cut your load in half and live to enjoy the fruits of your labor then to burn out early and become another tragic story of illness or death that comes on way too early.

Material things, money and status are swell and all - but can be wiped away in an instant with the right (or wrong) series of events. I know first hand what it's like to have years of hard work destroyed leaving nothing to show.

A slower pace with rest, enjoyment and peace built in to the schedule help insure that you live a more balanced life. Keyword being LIVE.

Not sure if it's been already asked, but what's your mainstream business if you don't mind to tell?

Get automated. True success is having a business that rarely requires your presence. Have someone handle ALL of your adult business tasks, not just a percentage of them. Pay what ever it takes. Even if you have to pay $600 for someone to manage just one of your sites and you have 10 sites! Yeah it will cost you $6000 a month but if your netting $15k a month it shouldnt matter. Good Luck! Either that or quit school.

dude, I know that nothing lasts forever

my business now, it won't last forever. Realistically speaking, one day in the future it will stop making me rich. but RIGHT NOW is THE TIME where it's making me the money. Right now is my "once in a lifetime opportunity"

and I feel like I should be concentratin 110% on this opportunity to maximize the outcome before (if someday) it crashes.

the way I see it, let's say it dies out, and I need a degree, it will be very easy for me (compared to others) to go to school again becaue I won't need a job since I will have alot of money saved up in my bank account...

The only wisdon that I will pass on to you is simply this.

Life in these United States is not getting any easier, and things could take a turn for the worse in the next 4 years. Cut back on your running around, and do a little more working. Save your money, and invest in land and things like that. When you hit 50, you will not have to worry about getting paid, beacuse when you were young, you worked your ass off, and saved enough to spend the rest of your life doing what ever you want.

It sucks that we can never go back to when we were younger, and do things over. Yes the memories that you are making today are great, but they will not feed you, or a child or wife later on.

your initial post is insanely close to my current situation. seems like no matter how far and hard you work, there are just not enough hours in a day to get to enough done.

for myself, its like everyday i wake up, a race begins... and no matter how productive the day goes, i still go to bed (more like a 2-3-4 hour nap) feeling like i'm still behind.

I'm also in school, finally graduating college in TWO more months. Battled and battled against "taking some time off" or "going back at another time" but it just never seemed realistic to me that I would ever return. So I battled it and multi-tasked like crazy in order to maintain business and school. Its really a diffiuclt trade off, and recently its been like, why in the hell would i go to this 3 hour class when I could work and make money/advance my position financially? Then combined with what I'm actually paying for the class (according to my calculations, about $100.00 per class), and figuring in opportunity costs of not working, class is just outright unbearable at times.

In either case, you have to put things into perspective and look at yourself in the long term, and although it's difficult, overlook the money available to you. A college degree will be relevent and useful... and to tell you a story.... I have friend that did a couple million in adult a few years ago, and dropped out of college due to his financial successes. A few years later, he overextended himself, some of his ventures failed, and now he's working at a gas station. True story, and facts.

I have thought and thought about dropping out of college for 3 straight years now, but finally i'll be graduated in 2 months and will be in every position to further everything i've developed and relationships I have built throughout this timeframe, so I guess I won both wars, but not without the stresses and confusion you described in your initial post.

You are a smart guy, I'm sure you'll make the right decision regardless of what you choose, i would only suggest to make sure you think about the issues you may face 5-10 years down the road before determining your paths. We all get blinded by cash at times, but college only secures yourself even more when things go wrong, and things go wrong for all of us at times.

Take care man and good luck.

I did 4 years of University, Full time Annoyance of a girlfriend for 3 years.. In the business fulltime that whole time as well. I slept about 5 to 6 hours a day. Went out about 3 or 4 nights a week and Now i'am a 22 year old with a 7 figure bank account. So stick with it, breakdowns are for the weak.

My only advice is to cut back on the going out, but not alot, or you will turn antisocial like many of the people on this board.

As for the girlfriend, dont get whipped, cut down on seeing her too, I only hung out with mine like 2 or 3 times a week.

Wow this has to be one of the best threads I have read on gfy ever. Probably because I am pretty much facing a choice between university and business myself.

I am studying social science (3rd semester) and I am beginning to feel that from now on the studies will be taking up substantial amounts of time and energy - more than I have usually been spending at any school. And at the same time I am experiencing success with my adult business which I am off course looking to expand as much as possible. But I don't think I will be able to focus on both things at the same time. Maybe I will be able to handle it time-wise, but I don't think I can really concentrate on both things.

At the same time, I am beginning to get bored with my studies and don't really feel like I will be able to go for it whole-heartedly, so I am starting to think "Why even bother finishing university?".

Even though I have always preached to others about living for the moment, I am having a hard time doing so myself. As has been pointed out, financial success may not last forever, and who know what will happen!?

I have just had a 1 week vacation from university and was going to spend it figuring out what I should do about it, but I still haven't made a decision and for now I am going to class again tomorrow morning...

This thread needs to be pinned. I know I'm going to be re-reading this thread a few times in the next two and a half years.

At the same time, I am beginning to get bored with my studies and don't really feel like I will be able to go for it whole-heartedly, so I am starting to think "Why even bother finishing university?".

school sucks, bad.

but limited options and less-secure future sucks more, imo. it'll be over before you know it, trust me. December can't come soon enough!

Thanks for the words!

I am actually getting used to schools that suck, and that isn't the major problem. It's more that I am going to spend at least another 1½ years going to uni, and most likely even 2 more years after that if I want a degree I can actually use for something serious (Danish educational structure may be a little different than the American on this point).

I figure I might as well go all the way and not stop halfway through with a degree that doesn't really provide a lot of possibilities.

I can very much relate to what others say about feeling like this is THE chance to make money ensuring you for the rest of your life, so why not spend all your time and energy on that instead of something that might not even get you a job you find interesting afterwards and doesn't pay you nearly as much as you are able to make in adult.

Iknow what you mean, it can get very overwhelming, and it seems like each day gets busier. but that's life and you have to live it to the fullest
