Have you ever been approached directly by VISA or M/C?

I read statements by reps of different processors stating if you do this or do that VISA will come after you and close you down, prevent you from doing further business.

My question is this: Have you ever been approached by VISA or MasterCard about one of your business practices? If so, what did they accuse you of doing, and what was the end result?

A client of ours was using our domestic merch. solution, but he ended up implementing an offshore account on his cascading system as well, VISA found out somehow and after about 3 months yanked them. He won't be getting a domestic adult account again anytime soon.

Does working for Visa for 3 years count as being approached by them?

;)

Was he using the off-shore as primary or somewhere down the cascade?

In regards to TMF.

What about opening a new Corporation? Will that get around the VISA TMF?

Nope. If any of the principals of the new corporation are the same as the old corporation, when the acquirer checks the MATCH file, it'll show up as a hit and a check will be done.

The TMF is for Visa and MC, btw. Not just Visa.

It's very unlikely that Visa or MC would approach a merchant directly. If you were processing though an IPSP, they'd go through them. If you have your own merchant account, they'll go through your acquirering bank.

Register a new corp in Deleware/Nevada and hire a director? Isn't that a common service provided?

Again, it's not that easy. Once you're on the TMF, it's nearly impossible to get off.

There are definetly ways to get processing again, but if you so much as cause someone to raise an eyebrow, you'll be in a world of hurt.

And, if you're on the TMF, chances are you're a criminal or at the very least, you have questionable business practices. That's not likely to change by just getting a new merchant account.
