Anyone ever been suspended from eBay? What did you do, how did you get your account back. I am having some drama with them

What's the story behind this? Did you screw anyone? Did you leave negative feedback to someone who then complained about you? They don't normally suspend accounts just for the hell of it.

Well, paypal is a part of ebay and maybe they got influence there. They DO suspend just for the heck of it, numerous court orders where there already about it.

I got suspended a LONG time ago, like when they first started. I just made a new account, of course, this was long before you had to have a credit card on file for verification and all the other things they've since implemented to keep people from easily creating multiple accounts. They suspended me for 30 days I think it was, after that it was back to normal.

I got suspended for being my brothers brother? Apparently, if one member of a family does something wrong (ex. shill bidding) then they suspend the other family members accounts regardless of if they can prove they are just a family member.

I think eBay is worse than PayPal. At least PayPal has big risk involved in it's members, they actually have better form service. Not only does eBay hang up on you on the phone, but their live help says goodbye in the middle of a conversation.

But sir, I told you to not use such language when addressing me or the company I worked for, and you wouldn't so I hung up on you. If you call again and you are professional with me, I will definitely be professional with you.

But seriously, not much you can do except start up under a new company name, and get a mailbox etc box, and build up your credibility all over again. I know it sucks, but your brother screwed you up, what can yah do? hehe, besides kick his butt.

Creating another account is probably the best solution. Does anyone know what technology they use to associate accounts with each other? IP logins? Names? Address?

If I was writing the system for ebay, all the above. I would run a fraud script that looks at address information, name information, and ips that they logged in on and try to match them. If they are in the same location as previously marked account, and their names are the same, then it would raise up the fraud level of certainty, if the ip they logged into matches another increase is in order. LOL, some people even though they use a different username, sometimes use the same password, so that would also go into the equation.

Anyway, try to be as different as possible from the information you submitted, only cost 200 dollars to get incorporated without a lawyer, so think about that too.

Hope that helps yah.

Good thinking. If I was writing the system for eBay I would also send out an email or question to each new user asking them about a product they are selling and log the ip they reply from. I doubt people would go to an internet cafe everyday to answer their emails.

It sucks having perfect credit, you repeatedly get fucked up the ass by stupid bills with hidden fees that you have no choice but to pay
