i want to teach my mom how to use a computer..
i just bought my mom a new i want her to learn how to type as well as use the internet..
anyone know of any software/websites that help new computer users.. thanks first thing im doing is installing NAV

Don't do it! I bought my Mom a computer a couple of years ago and she called me a few times a day for months. I love my Mom, but it made me crazy. Now she's a geek though. I didn't even mention Mozilla to her but the other day I noticed her machine had Firefox on it. I asked her what was up with that and she replied "Microsoft sucks."

Have her use it everyday and in to time she will figure things out, i'm sure there will be problems ahead but that all comes with learning.

i remember the first time i went online on AOL like in 1994 some asshole tried to password phish me..
i was like in Lobby 21 and i started chatting to some girl and thought wow this is coooool then some asshole instant messaged me trying to phish me.. i was like OMG what a fucking dumbass and told him to suck a fat cock. hahaha those were the days
