I'm proud that my father pulled strings to keep me out of my duty to serve my country in its time of dire need. An enemy threatened our country and I ran away and hid. I wanted zero chance of having to "serve" my country during a time of war and I absolutely wanted NO part of combat. Sure my country needed me, but shit . . . let someone else do that shit because I'm a drunk and a coward and I would much rather see a middle class or poor person die (or have a limb blown off) than me.

I will love my country as long as I can ?love it? from my barstool . . . and as long as I don?t have to risk anything.
