First thought: you have to be quite the fuckwit to

A) show up to a Dem event and blaze your Bush sign like a shitstick

and

B) Bring your young daughter with you when you know there could be conflict.

The guy's a dipshit.

Second thought: I'm all for free speech and freedom of expression. One must use a modicum of common sense though since others in this world might not share your view of what "rights" you think you deserve.

it was mean to tear up the little girl's sign but at least she and her daddy didn't have to sign a loyalty oath in order to see Kerry speak.

You bet it was mean. I'm just saying it seems to me the guy was an idiot for exposing his little girl to that, it could have got uglier than that I'm sure.
