Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated
on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio. http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com...ds_wvrs103.jpg http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...vrs10309162250 |
First thought: you have to be quite the fuckwit to
A) show up to a Dem event and blaze your Bush sign like a shitstick and B) Bring your young daughter with you when you know there could be conflict. The guy's a dipshit. Second thought: I'm all for free speech and freedom of expression. One must use a modicum of common sense though since others in this world might not share your view of what "rights" you think you deserve. |
it was mean to tear up the little girl's sign but at least she and her daddy didn't have to sign a loyalty oath in order to see Kerry speak.

Let's see a smirking Dem stand there with an in-your-face sign at a similar event for Bush-Cheney and the exact same thing could very well happen, probably has happened many times. |
