the hun is black listing registrars now?

dang.. gotta use certain domain registrars or you won't be listed.

hmmmmmmm

..............................
from the hun submission

Congrats, you're confirmed as a human beeing

Checking blacklist... Doesn't appear on the blacklist

Sorry, you registered through Parave Networks, they protect whois information and seem to be a safe haven for a lot of cheaters. I can't link to domains registered through Parava anymore

......................................

i'm only at Parava cuz their domains are $10 and they've been a stable registar for my domains for 4 years.. not cuz i'm hiding out..

but i guess he can do what he wants to it's his tgp!

It improves the quality of the listings that make it on the hun. Less cheaters, more traffic for all the honest webmasters. Unfortunately being able to hide behind whois protection will attract cheaters to that service.

That seriously sucks, that would be like banning all Russian webmasters because many of them are cheaters.

( sure affiliate programs do it, by I haven't heard of TGP's doing it ).

But then again, it's his site.

Never met the guy, but for certain he has put up with a load of shit over the years.
He has the best tgp and a simple few rules to follow - Follow them and there is cash to be made right down to the overflow. Those fools who try to screw him, are actually screwing every webmaster (Re the theme of this thread).

At the end of the day, got nothing to hide and no reason to hide it? Get registered somewhere else compatible with the Dutch guy's rules.

I blacklist Parava .. and it seems that a lot of other sites do now too (like the hun obviously).

The reason is because I've just had too many issues with domains registered there. I've only come accross one site that was registered there who I'm just starting to trust as a trade partner.

But I get cheaters every single day trying to get partner accounts to my TGPs and traffic trades .. they all do percentage redirects to dialers etc. and they're all registered at Parava.

Sorry to say it .. I know it's descrimination and I'm sure some honest webmasters register with them .. but it just seems like they're a safe haven for cheaters as Mr. Hun said.

If you want $10 domains register through maindomain.com or namecheap.com.

Everybody would be willing to pay, even the cheaters, it'd be the same thing again beside those crazy submissions are missing.

Hmm maybe, but what about ~250$/year or something just to be able to submit, not a guaranteed listing.
I dont think the cheaters really afford to pay 250$ for every listed gallery that they redirect to their shit.
Or maybe they can, it depends on how fast thehun deletes it.

Im glad its not my problem heh...

Apparently yes.

I started my own thread about it and it seemed like only GoDaddy's whois feature is blacklisted.

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...ighlight=whois

Now it seems like every domain registrar who offers whois protection will get blacklisted.

I understand the reasons behind it ( eliminating cheaters ) but there are also guys who have been already submitting for years and - - for privacy reasons - want to switch to anonymous whois and won't be able to do it.

Blacklisting whole registrars isn't a good slution, simply because many cheaters use fake whois anyway ( it's easier and cheaper ). So the honest guy who wants to order whois privacy for his domain won't be able to submit, and the real cheater won't care about it, since he will simply put fake whois info for his domain, like many people ( including top GFY posters ) do.

They're all offering it. GoDaddy, NameCheap to name two bigger ones... Network Solutions likely will too to try to increase revenues.

Mind you, I believe it really should be default.

He's allowed to be a "moron" for however long he runs his own site.

The Hun doesn't owe anything to anyone .. not to GFY .. not to his submitters .. not to the cheaters etc.

I run TGPs and I can completely understand where he's coming from. There just isn't enough time during the day to do a freakin' background check on every single submission to weed out the possible cheaters.

Time is better spent growing traffic and making money so you can relax and not have to worry about how so many people out there want to screw over everyone else to make a dime.

The TGP world is headed towards partner only .. and after the partners start cheating .. FHG only.

The only reason webmasters list submitted gals to begin with is to offer variety to their bookmarkers. But the time will come where it's less time consuming just to make 20-30 new galleries promoting different sponsors each day themselves than to weed through all the submitteted gals that are fucking over their surfers and hurting your traffic.

Not if it was done correctly. If you require payment by credit card or debit card or certain other means, even if its for small money, it identifies people. The way tgps try to control fraud now by banning domains etc is just stupid and always has been. Its the PEOPLE who need to be banned. Otherwise you are just wasting time, both yours and honest submitters.
I dont understand why Patrick and other industry leaders havent gotten together and formed some type of system for a submitters permit or something similar. Most other tgps and possibly linklists too would quickly begin to require it because identifying people is the only real way to cut down the cheating by any significant amount. Banning domains, ip ranges, and even registrars is bullshit and doesnt work very well anyway. And does the hun have all of his banned info posted anywhere? No. You probably have people submitting for months and not having any idea their registrar is banned. This is just more bullshit from the tgps which will affect honest people more than anyone else. And like most of the other methods they use to deal with cheating, it wont work.

You're absolutely right that honest webmasters will get hit hard .. and do get hit hard by this. Cheating hurts everyone.

And as a submitter I hate to say this ... but why should a TGP webmaster take all the time and resources to work out the "perfect system" for indentifying submitters etc. ???

Personally, I want to spend my time building traffic and profiting. When I list submitted galleries I'm giving away free traffic .. sure it helps make my bookmarkers happy but there are alternatives even if it means slightly more work.

The fact is I don't have the time or the patience to deal with BS .. so I just won't. I've gone partner only and if my partners start cheating on me then fuck it .. if they can't play honest they won't play at all .. I'll go FHG only .. I've already got a DB with over 1k of FHG gals .. it would simply take one click to delete all submitted gals from my TGPs.

And I'm sure I'm not the only TGP owner who feels that way and would do similar.

Mainly because it would save them a lot of time and aggravation in the long run. I can only imagine what a hassle it is for guys like the hun to deal with all the fucktards out there, i wonder how many hours he and his staff waste every week dealing with it. Your point is well taken about saying fuck it and going completely partner or fhg, thats for sure what i would do too. And in the huns case you know he could sell every single spot everyday for damn nice money. You and i would probably agree that the benefits he gets from accepting public submissions isnt worth the hassle, but he obviously thinks different and thats his right. My point is, if you are gonna do that then why not do it right? It should be obvious after all these years that banning domains and similar stuff doesnt work very well. As a tgp owner, forget about fairness and convenience for submitters, just from your own standpoint, if you take public submissions the type of system i suggested would save you a lot of time and trouble. Some major players like the hun, shemp, and others could get together and establish such a system, which would pay for itself and solve a lot of problems. It wouldnt be perfect, but the way things are done now arent worth a damn for either owners or honest submitters. But you know who it IS good for, because there sure are a lot of them out there.
