I don't think they will. There was an article in Playboy (I think last month's issue) about the Google guys. They said they don't have ads in the results, simply because they want to offer the most relevant search results, and cannot be bought.

... that's pretty much why most of the top10 non adult results show google adsense.

I never understand people that say: "yeah, playboy has some great articles", christ, if you want great articles read forbes, playboy is for tits&ass.

Google realizes the reason they are successful and more popular than any other search engine is because they give the surfer relevant and untainted (purchased) search results. As for SE spam, that is another topic.

well thats not the reason they are the most popular and most used engine, when they started tons of people tried the same many who raised more money then them.

Here is what they did that I think helped them get to number 1, they made a simple page with a search box, they didnt bombard the surfer with a million links like yahoo and many other engines, they didnt try to do everything.

If you look at successful companies online like ebay and google and many others you will notice they have 1 thing in common, they do 1 thing and 1 thing only and keep it simple.

Even in adult I credit thehuns success for keeping it simple, easy to load etc.

If amazon would just concentrate on book selling and not on selling, toys, electronics, kitchen ware etc they would of been better off financially.

Yes, I agree that Google owes part of its success to the fact that they have kept things simple and poured all their resources into mainly one thing, being the best search engine possible. However, their untainted results are a big part of their success as well. Even with their simple interface, if they provided the same type of search results as Yahoo's directory, or AOL's overture/inktomi results, their traffic would drop off significantly.

Surfers dont want 3 pages of sponsor listed paysites when they go to a search engine and type in "porn pics". The majority of the time they're looking for some obscure free site made by some porn fan that happened to put up 10 pages of free porn pics. These are the type of honest listings Google provides that you will rarely see in Overture results and/or Yahoo's directory.

They already do list sponsors (do a search for milfhunter). I think what you're asking is would Google take kickbacks or incentives to rank a sponsor higher in their rankings. If that's what you're asking, I strongly believe they'll do no such thing. There was an engine that did this and it really started the downfall of their engine. I can't remember if it was OpenText or Infoseek that did this but one of the two did it during their upwards climb in the SE world.

If Google really really wanted to do this, and I was in Google's shoes, I'd buy out an SEO company as discretely as possible and have that SEO firm do all the work to getting top placements and simply pay Google at year end the profits. It's easier to shelter it this way.

But as for Google directly, I don't see them altering their actual listings for profit any time soon.
