Paycom customer receipts auto junked by Hotmail

So I joined a site yesterday and looked for the receipt to get my info (user/pass) and member ID to cancel and the receipt was in the junk mail/trash folder.

For your average customer I don't think many will go looking in their junk mail/trash for their receipts.

This could be a chargeback issue.

If it's happening to Paycom it must be happening to others as well.

Can it be resolved?

funny you bring this up... i have been having a similar problem intermittantly receiving notifications of new sales/rebills from both ccBill and Verotel lately... they *occasionally* are going into the bulk/junk folder, very odd..

Some sites auto generate your password so it's not easy to remember.

The user would have to reference to their receipt to check.

Anyways I think this is fairly bad.

Maybe you should upgrade and buy your own [email protected].

Not all customers have [email protected] addresses, that's far from a solution.

I have plenty of my own domains

I use hotmail to avoid getting spam to my .com addy's

But most users use free based email to join sites.

Not sure if Paycom can do anything about this, because the junk happens on the Hotmail end. They junk a lot of legitimate emails.

Hotmail is sending pretty much everything to junk folder if by default junk filter is set at enhanced or exclusive. I can send from other accounts to my hotmail account and they go straight to junk folder. Set at low they come thru ok though.

makes sense,.....a reciept from pornslutscum.com obviously looks like junk mail or spam.....

maybe the billers should take this up with hotmail

Legitmate businesses can contact Hotmail and they will let your mail through.

Paycom just needs to make the call.

Bout all you can do is tell users to check their email spam folders...
