win xp freezes after boot

my pc freezes after booting up...i can't do anything for some 45-60 seconds then everything works fine...any solutions?

start it on safe mode to see if it boots. and stays stable. i think you are having a hardware problem check your NIC and other periferals. unplug them all and try it if it is stable then plug 1 x 1 untill it freezes again.


bad NIC or printers or power cables tend to freeze up pc.

go to Start/Run and type mscongig and click ok. In the new screen that opens click the Startup tab and check what you have that boots up with windows. A lot of the shit in the is useless and will just slow shit down.
