not having red X's going to your program in your sig would be a good start....

I bet the smaller affiliates are where most of the support goes. Complaining on the boards because they only got 1 sale out of 500 clicks, claiming missing checks when they haven't reached the minimum payouts etc.

When you think about the cost to advertise on webmaster boards like GFY, booths at conventions, parties & the time to spam the boards &/or put out board drama fires...that's a hell of a lot of paid TGP spots, Adwords etc.

From my experience, we've gained more in a few days giving out cash in a contest, than we've seen from our booth, banners ads on boards (even GFY), sigs or any other method.

The thread gets attention; people ICQ me. I talk with them and usually have no problems convincing them to try us out!

After that, it's upto the numbers :Graucho

thanks. what percentage do you pay out to affiliates? 50 or 60% i assume? like i said, i pay out zero. i should do 2.5 Mill for 2004 after all chargebacks, refunds and processor fees this year, all from a single paysite ;)

cheers Shap :)

Right now around 55% of our business is from affiliates. Goes a bit higher during promotions.

Did you see my comment about your processing fees though? It looked around 15% unless I calculated wrong, on your volume you should get much less......

johnvod 08-26-2004 07:57 PM

bring your top affiliates to promote www.videopasscash.com as well and we will cut you a monster deal.

i'm currently processing through ibill europe, i can't get into any details here, but the processing fees are significantly higher than the US.

note that this is AFTER all ibill fees, and is the actual wire money sent out...

Quiet, you're still getting a reserve withheld? I would talk to them about that...

if it makes you feel good, I'm grossing more and netting less than you are :) I've often thought of going to that one site model with darkcavern.com, but fetishbucks.com just has too many assets and too much money in it to kill it. Plus new sites coming out.

I think the potential for millions is higher with a bigger program but the irritations are also multiplied.

This is a great thread...

We love webmasters that send 5 sales per day...
We have thousands of affiliates and want thousands more!

We welcome all webmasters, large and small to add another revenue stream from Dirty D... Payouts are once a week!

Been a while since I checked but USA merchants are forced by visa to have 0.75% charge back ratio while UK based merchants are allowed 2.5% so work your math from that.

One thing I notice though, you're paying around 15% processor fees? Shouldn't you get a lower one for that volume with IBill??

darkcavern looks seriously great, that site must be doing extremely well. for sure there are pros and cons to both models - regardless, as long as we continue to pad our bank accounts for the inevitable, there is not much to complain about :thumbsup
