This is funny -- wasn't someone recently saying that Lightspeed was "saturated?" --- which would you rather have?

We have a legion of small affiliates --- I'd rather be supported by a solid base of "small bricks" than hanging from a couple of "large ropes", ya know?

Possibly, but I am speaking of sponsors in terms of adult sites. Clickcash is in a different genre (web cams).

With 100 clicks, you will convert with us! you do not need more to see the difference :)

If you can send thousands of clicks per day, we will give you full domain co-branding as well!

So I'll convert with 100 clicks, when NO OTHER SPONSOR has converted better than 1:750? Can I get $5000 if I dont have a sale after 100 clicks?

Dude, what kind of traffic do you have? are we talking about dating traffic here? In 8 years in that business, I think i never saw dating traffic converting 1:750!

Our average overall conversion is 1:116. So with 100 clicks, you defenitely have strong change of converting. Plus, we are paying 50$ per signup! So you will most probably get 50$ for 100 clicks :)

It's possible to not get one on 100 clicks....but let's try with 1000-2000 and if it's not pure trash traffic, I can guarentee you better than 1:750 EASY!! :thumbsup

I think its important to have things spread out and not just rely on one big guy :2 cents:

- Our 100th place affiliate is looking at about $230 for this month....

- We will have 43 affiliates make over $1000 ! :thumbsup

- Our top affiliate is looking at about $8400 this month.

- These are not even including 10% Referral commissions :winkwink:

Checkout our top100 for August - LIVE stats

I'm interested to hear how other sites do.

Thats a really nice idea.. I am sure that motivates a few people to try and do "better". :thumbsup

These two people from China have been on our top 10 list for 13 months now, so they are pretty legit.

Already checked them :)

Interesting point. I bet many of the top promotors out there, are not those on those top100 lists.

Some sponsor wrote me; We have not recieved any signups from you past month. Please tell us, if we can do anything to help.
Hmm...I don't know, I had 1.500 signups for another sites, so I'm not sure what you can do...to help yourself. :winkwink:

Be more interesting to know why detoxed thought the thread needed his 2 cents in the first place. Seems like he only joined in as a spoiler. Doesn't the guy have enough sig views already?

If an affiliate stops completely sending traffic to a sponsor, that's because the sponser is not working well for him/her.

However, if an affiliate splits his traffic among his top sponsors, that means he/she is trying to be smart.

On IwantU, we ask our affiliates to send us most of their traffic, but we know that almost no affiliates will send all their traffic like years ago.

I thought Shanghai banned ALL porn period and that it is illegal period to sell porn on the net, I think they even censor the news and internet and jailed some people for selling (any type of) porn there. The one peson making over 2k in Ukraine must be making bank too, I read that people make on average a few hundred dollars a month there so that's big pimpin!

It definately is. However we still offer PPS for those who want a quick buck, or who like to test a program before going Revshare.

Revshare = trust in the program :thumbsup

It is! In good dating sites, some members will renew for years!

Drake 08-23-2004 09:00 PM

The interesting thing too is that a lot of those affiliates promote multiple sites, so when you see an affiliate bringing in $5k on lightspeed, he/she is probably pulling in similar amounts on mulitple sponsors. Many of the people that know how to promote and make coin stick to multiple revenue streams to fall back onto.

They both seem to be legit....number 1 there has been consistently in the top 5 for 17 months now. We've monitored his patterns, conversions and chargebacks and nothing fishy...luckily :winkwink:

You mean that the top affiliates don't make that much? I agree. I thought I maybe read it wrong. The 6.5K is MONTHLY? or weekly/daily?

Or that your city might be listed in the future? I always liked the ARS WM rank. But after all changes, suddenly I was top 10 lol

Really awesome that programs are willing to show their success.

Next step would be to know / place a category for where the traffic / signups are coming from; mailers or website, etc.

Kudos to Iwantu.com and Lightspeed Cash! :)

I send traffic to 200 + sponsors. Some get 50 clicks a month. Some get several hundred thousand.

Guess not.....that doesn't look too good for them. :2 cents:

I would have expected more than just Lightspeed to step up though.

Forkbeard 08-24-2004 11:21 AM

I was fascinated to see the Lightspeed list when it popped up on their site the other day. Like others, I thought there would be a few more peeps in the above-$1k crew. Steve, please don't take that badly -- it just means your marketing-to-potential-affiliates is working. I look at that list and I see opportunity. "What? If that's all the affiliate promotion those awesome sites are getting, there's still room for me!"

However, I'm not suprised at how few big sponsors publish a similar list. Such lists offer strong hints at gross revenues (although only hints, given the many other streams of revenue a paysite owner is likely to have) and there are lots of good business reasons for a business owner to prefer to keep that sort of info under his hat.

2HousePlague 08-24-2004 11:28 AM

Why believe what the sponsors tell you, when there are MANY, MANY impartial voices in the marketplace that will tell you who's number one?

For example:

I wouldn't consider that spam, since I'm not even sure who the person is that posted that!

And to back up my sponsor page, I would like to point out that there are three sponsors on that list that don't have referral links:

Bang Bros
Purvebucks
Dollarmachine

Those rankings are taken straight from StatsRemote. No doctoring involved.

So wait -- what you're saying is a 3rd party Webmaster with lots of experience and DATA promoting many different programs is somehow LESS impartial than the sponsor himself? That's absurd.

And personally, I can't think of anybody out there who:

1. Knows what they're talking about, when they talk about program conversions,

AND

2. Would be foolish enough to send ANYBODY traffic without a ref-code.

Most GFYers have somebody's ref-code in their sigs. It's the way endorsements are made here. It's the way GFY personas associate themsleves with the sponsors who've done well by them. Hoes.com is doing that AND substantiating it with stats. The ethics of that look pretty sound to me.
