What's so shocking about refreshingly honest sponsors that have a well sized business going?

I feel encouraged to use all sponsors that posted these stats and in fact I am already or going to send traffic to all of these
200 dumbass posts like one quoted

I've never heard of more than a small bunch of webmasters (ie one guys, not a company with half a dozen people) doing over $100k a month. And the ones I know of are pushing dozens (yes with an s) of sponsors and ranked in the top10 of a big bunch of them.

at IwantU.com, we believe the contrary. We prefer to have several thousand active affiliate linking to our website, than only few large ones (But of course, we gladely accept large affiliates as well, and we have several )

This will obvisouly increases tremendously our workload and support budget. However, it also increases our PR and visibility on the Internet.

Two different way of thinking i guess!

I don't know what planet some of you are from, but I know a lot of small scale webmasters that rely on their Lightspeed checks to pay bills, take vacations, or save for their kids education.

$500/month may not seem like a lot to some of you guys, but its not a bad check considering all they had to do was put up a link on their website. Promoting Lightspeedcash costs our affiliates ZERO. We provide and pay for everything -- exclusive content, hosting, design work, billing, etc.

I didn't realize how many of you were making 10s of millions a year I guess.. You are certainly welcome to add Lightspeedcash to your mix of sponsors!

If you've tried us in the past without success, you should take another look now that we've completely redesigned our network, sites, pricing, and payout structures this year.

Seems like we have a lot of gutless sponsors out there who arent willing to share the same info. I have the urge not to promote the ones who wont post the same info.

no hate here, I don't make a ton of money with you guys and I'd like to make more, but what I do make I know will be in my mailbox when it's due. You guys are a solid program and shouldn't be worried what a few haters may think. We all know everyone on GFY is banking 10k before lunch time everyday, day in and out.

Good point! I have noticed many people on this board are talking about big business and big $$$ but if you get to know them closer they are nothing. They don?t have the sales, the traffic and many not even quality hosting or content at all?

But one thing what I wonder about is that many companies if you make $2,000-$5,000 per month don?t treat you very well. These are not any of those that posted here but I always felt like a small fish. Especially I wondered about one company that I made around $300k-$400k with over a couple years.

Because of such things, and some others ;-) I keep splitting my traffic over more and more companies?

Thank you for making this clear and public, jpv. I will make a note that your company (which is? that wasn't clear - and I read this board with sigs off) is one I will never do business with. That's not meant as a dig or a jab - you don't want my business, so I don't want to make the mistake of doing business with you.

I can't seem to phrase that without making it sound mean-spirited. I really don't mean for it to sound that way - your business model is yours and I respect that. I guess I've been put off by a few bad eggs who have no problem dissing their lower-performing affiliates while still taking their traffic. I won't mention names.

One of the first things I learned in this business is to never put all your eggs in one basket. I've lived by that, and it's served me reasonably well.

My small amount of traffic is spread among many advertisers and I am constantly tweaking the results. Seeing the stats a few brave sponsors have posted has made me feel a bit better about my lowly stats, and has motivated me to work a little harder - I appreciate the information.

Even with a Top100 list, you still don't know how many total affiliates there are, or how much traffic/signups a program buys or generates internally --- or what that companies expenses are (or how deeply in debt they are)

There is a HUGE difference between being BIG and being PROFITABLE. Ask Amazon.com about that one.

Excuse my ignorance quiet. What site are your stats from? What sources of traffic? Highest number I've ever seen on GFY, very nice to see indeed. Your tax would suck big time though I guess. (

Very interesting thread.

FWIW when ARS was running smoothly 15 or so sales a day used to keep me at about 100th position, from conversations with some bigger fish number 5 position could have been 80 or so a day.

I Wouldda love to have known what it took to get to number 1

Stats are fascinating

i think you missed his point. he doesnt want to take on their traffic because he doesnt have the time to answer their questions, etc. i respect that compared to a company that will let them be an affiliate but not answer any questions or help them out.

Not too bad

We make more, but then again have to payout affiliates and other expenses.

One thing I notice though, you're paying around 15% processor fees? Shouldn't you get a lower one for that volume with IBill??

Exactly. I don't have a problem with people making a few thousand a month and I don't mean to put them down. That is a good living. I just run a site that I advertise by myself. I would not have the time to have alot of affiliates and help them out in a way to make everyone more money. Now if they can send a minimum amount of sales per day to make it worth my time I would be willing to spend the time with the few affiliates.

Everyone who is talking about diversification must understand something. Diversification does not mean you need to use 20 programs. Find a few solid programs and go with them. There are so many webmasters doing 50 sales a day in the teen market. If I can get them to send half of their traffic to my site then they will still be diversified enough. Warren Buffett for a while had all of his money invested in 3 companies. He said if you find a couple solid companies that are out performing other companies why would you put some money in the mediocre companies just for the sake of diversification. Just do your homework. Then you can diversify outside of the adult business.

very cool stats,
most of the people who have gallery setups for their affiliates will just recieve partial traffic (like most affiliates will signup to like 20 sponsors and use all of their gallery links),

I only centralize with 4-5 good sponsors, but i also use a lot of sponsors and only send $3-4k a month

Good work guys!

I did misunderstand and your point is well taken. Good thoughts on diversification, too.

Not really!

We send 350 checks per month! and this is only the top 100.
But since it is LIVE, you can estimate how much traffic and money our affiliates are making per hour

it dont costs the affiliate ZERO! The affiliate has to pay for hosting, traffic, etc. And the most imporant he spends the time with promoting your sites. If he push you and maked $200/day and could make $300/day with other program, he is losing $100 each day...time is very expensive, because its very limited, so no, its not free to promote you or any other sponsor.

I always wonder about that support thing, I can understand that some people only give big site owners a chance because because they don't want to have their sites over promoted that fast but I wonder who really needs support all day?

I never need support beside I loose my pass (that happens once or twice in a lifetime when my comp crashes or whatever).Mostly sales reps bother me as if they were experienced webmasters who could improve anything I can't do.I ask myself what kind of other support a sponsor had to do when they just would ignore the clueless newbies who ask how to make money after signing up and don't get them any money anyway.
