I forgot the details but I don't think it went too far. That being said, there are no specific laws against spamming in Canada. So even if AOL, MSN or Earthlink where to sue, for lack of a better term, they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. They could try to extradite someone to the US but that would make it cost prohibitive for them.

Other than hacking laws there are none relating to the Internet in CA. The only other computer related offence is a Blue Boxing law from the 1970's.
