My damn firewall has blocked the fourth attempt since 1am by the same IP addy! WTF!
How do I find out what's up with this?

well, not much you can do, you could track it back to the ISP, and then make a complaint. But that doesn't guarantee anything will be done. What kind of attacks are they launching?

Does your firewall show a block reason? What port was it on?

What's the IP?

Probably a script kiddie running a port scan.

Probably just random scanning.
Doubt someone is targeting you specifically.

They usually pick a range of ip's and scan them for vulnerabilities.
Sounds like you're protected, so I wouldn't worry!

I wouldn't be alarmed about this sort of scanning. It's normal now. I route a block of IP addresses into my home server so I get a flurry of packets (usually 254 in a row) probing each IP address.
