This one was pretty interesting, there's a pattern in it even though there may have been a mistake in it. Here's the pattern:

+2x
+1x (half the previous one)
+.5x (half the previous one)
so the last one will be:
+.25x (half the previous one) which comes out to 45.


Here it is with the actual numbers:

4
(4+4*2) 12
(12+12*1) 24
(24+24*.5) 36
(36+36*.25) 45

nico-t, your answer is correct but your pattern is not a pattern... you were on the way to finding it though


Oh, and the other two are 35
and 756030... although I must admit I used a calculator for the last one, simply because I can't be bothered to calculate 870*869 without one
