12x 2 = 24 (this is times 2, thats 3 minus 1)
24x1,5=36 (this is times 1,5, thats 2 minus 0,5)
36x1,25=45 (this is times 1,25, thats 1,5 minus 0,25)
You see, the number that you put off the 'x' value is getting cut in half every step (see the bold numbers).
