Just a little bored here - so made this little IQ test for the other bored people out there ;)

Will post the answers, if not solved, in 30 minutes

Find the next number in these series of 4 numbers

hey biskoppen check my first answer, its the right one man. It IS possible.
explanation:
4 12 24 36 __ ?

4 x 3 = 12 (this is times 3)
12x 2 = 24 (this is times 2, thats 3 minus 1)
24x1,5=36 (this is times 1,5, thats 2 minus 0,5)
36x1,25=45 (this is times 1,25, thats 1,5 minus 0,25)

You see, the number that you put off the 'x' value is getting cut in half every step (see the bold numbers).

This one was pretty interesting, there's a pattern in it even though there may have been a mistake in it. Here's the pattern:

+2x
+1x (half the previous one)
+.5x (half the previous one)
so the last one will be:
+.25x (half the previous one) which comes out to 45.


Here it is with the actual numbers:

(4+4*2) 12
(12+12*1) 24
(24+24*.5) 36
(36+36*.25) 45

and 756030... although I must admit I used a calculator for the last one, simply because I can't be bothered to calculate 870*869 without one :winkwink:
