Thanks for the spam. Don't you think you're paying way too much:

"We are currently paying $15 dollars per active member that signs up. An active member is any signup that didn't cancel or credit within the first 7 days of membership."

Well this is my area of expertise, working with pay sites. So here goes.

In order to complete in todays market with the other pay sites out there, you will need to be sharp right off the bat. (which I hate to tell you this, but your not ) The site seems slow, I did a trace and all pings are sub 100ms which most likely means the server your hosting on is loaded down. Secondly you won't find many web masters wanting to send you sign ups if they don't make money when you make money. So having a $1.95 trial but not paying the refer to the web master is a no no. I would also rethink the 41.2% pay out, I realize that is 49% after ccbill takes their cut, but it still is not in line with what other smaller pay sites are giving out. Since you are not a proven site, you will have to give a little more in the beginning. You should also have your marketing kit ready to go, before making an announce 2 banners are not enough, and no free content. Make sure you add a web master refer program to the list, the best way for you to find other web masters for your program, is word of mouth, so make sure you compensate them for doing so. Without looking inside I can't tell you wether or not anyone would stay beyond the 3 day trial, but you might want to know that yourself before offering a trial. There are too many people out there that just sign up for the trial and then put a web crawler on your site, which can have it all downloaded in a matter of hours. Then you are left with no customer, and you barely have paid your bandwidth bill if your site is of any size at all in the members section. Just my 2 cents.

A few things I noticed, on your 2nd and 3rd tour pages it says $1.95. You might need to change that.

You might want to re-think you design some and be MUCH more forward about letting them know what's inside. I've looked 3 times and all i can tell you is there's some kind of chat, and I'm not surfing "one handed" like many do. Which makes it much harder to pick up on subtle text, so make it stand out, simple, and easy to read.

Also, Get rid of those big-ass traffic stealing counter banners on the bottom of your pages. If you don't have server stats, put ONE SMALL counter way down low cause those two are stealing most of your traffic I would bet.

I would drop those big sex tracker counters at the bottom of the page's. Traffic leaks are a big no no with pay sites. Every link on mine goes to the singup page or a page that's throwing another slide ball at them trying to squeeze that card out of their ass...

Best Of Luck

Rip,
Don't give up man. It's hard work but it's worth it!

My advice:
Regarding certain things don't try and re-invent the wheel (site design). Also... you server/hosting is slow a shit. Also... take absolutely know shorts... do whatever's ethically possible to make money!
Good luck,

hardcorehosting,

you've pinpointed the exact reason trials suck. so what's the point of them? do they work that well? even if 50% of your trials convert into full memberships, what damage are the other 50% causing?

i can fully understand trials with limited access, but full access 3 day trials give any surfer on a 56k enough time to download the whole site. the only thing they don't keep is the live/chat stuff.

You know it HQ and 3 days later all the content is loaded in an (now) yahoo or some oter club format for all to have for nada!

Limited would be all we'd consider. More of an intense tour with some content etc. Each page denoting what is INside the full site that pertains to that page.

We tell all of our customers to get rid of the trial. The trial's are even worst than the free porn that is out there. I even saw on ebay a while back a guy that was selling a book on how to get great porn, he had many free trial, and cheap trial sites listed. Along with a program called webstripper that sucks all the pages from a site.

I have one customer that has a site that is around 5gb in size, when he first came on board with us, his traffic bill was over $4000 a month. After getting rid of the trial, and sprucing up the site, three months later he was down to $2800 in hosting, and he was making more money to boot So the trials don't always work the way they are suppose to.

Gemini, hardcorehosting,

glad to see that you agree with me. however, lots of big sponsors still offer full access trials. amateur pages and top cash (amateur pie) are the first to come to mind. why do they do it? what's your thoughts on that?

am i missing something? perhaps not all full access trials are full access (no movies perhaps)?

1 or 3 day trials make it easy to get a lot of easy porn for cheap prices. with webstripper (sounds a lot like paqrat), an educated surfer will make short work of paysites with these trials. however, there are methods to stop those programs. for example, create a hidden image that will only be loaded via paqrat, and then ban the IP. bigwebmaster has a block for it. visit his webpage on that here: http://www.bigwebmaster.com/ . the program is called the exterminator: http://www.bigwebmaster.com/exterminator-features.html .

hardcorehosting,

can you give me a tip on how the limited access trial should work? or are you against limited access trials too? should you show only half the girls, or all the girls but only show them strip down half way? i think a limited access trial should block all movie downloads, except maybe one teaser of your hottest babe.

what's your thoughts?

just thought: i was off a bit with the paqrat thing:

banning the IP of a paid member is not a good thing to do!

i relize from some of the feedbachk that i have recieved that it needed some modification
I don't want anyone to feel like they are being ripped off
we are hoping to form a good solid business relationship with some webmasters out there.
so I am beefing up the program and am hoping
that all involved wil profit
Thanks again everyone

First of all web stripper is really bad cause it acts just like the ie browser when getting the whole site. Many of the grabber just pull the html and then try to grab the pics by themselves, which you can block with .htaccess and mod_rewrite. So I doubt the exterminator would stop this guy

Secondly HQ I'm pretty much against trials of any kind, I prefer to offer a a better rate if they stay with you, say first month is $29.95 and recurring is $24.95 or something along that line.

thx hardcorehosting.

i see why anyone would be against trials. i'm the one who initially questioned their worth.

even though i don't like full access trials, i do like giving the surfer a taste of what my paysite has to offer. what's the best method to do this? a limited trial may still be of some use. amateur pages basically has an extremely limited free trial. i like that it shows off what's on the inside of their site

i also like your idea of the lower rate if you stay. rebills are obviously a very important part of any paysite.

rebills are where the money is at!!! I host sites that grab people and hang on to them for 6 to 8 months. And with a 50/50 partnership plan that means lot's of residual income.

I'm just getting into the tgp & ll side of things. Up to this point all I've done for promotion has been SE listings, which is a) much slower b) takes up about 2% of the traffic that you guys can eat in one day with tgp's I'm not sure how well tgp and ll traffic will convert into partnership programs, seeing that they already know where to get a lot of free porn all ready

We did find that on one of our sites, the rebills could be increase by a) raising the price by 10% from $34.95 to $39 and then offering a 20% reduction on rebills to $31. The billing went from an average of 3.7 months to 5.3. Which again is a major jump in long term profits made
