i'm going with a group of 15 college buddies to Atlantic City for the weekend for the first time...i've never been and i don't think the majority of the group have either, so any tips on what to see and what to not do... any tips on what casinos and games to play to break the bank! i've played a little cards in my time, but i'm not a pro at all, so i think i want to give slots a go.

Go to Vegas instead. AC sucks and it's gonna be mobbed with guidos all summer.

With that said, check the Borgata - that's the newest, they seem to have the most going on. The Taj Mahal is pretty impressive for AC.

Do NOT play slots in AC.

Do NOT go to strip clubs IN AC. The only good one I have seen around there is Delilah's and even that isn't so great - the girls are decent but the club itself is expensive and average. It's better than anything else around there, and it's a little bit of a drive (you're going to need to drive it, it's on the other side of the bridge).

The Sands Epic Buffet is pretty good, or at least it was for a while. It is expensive and you might need reservations. The ECVS used to have a show in AC every year and we spent some time at the Sands - they were the only adult-friendly hotel we came across, so the industry spent a lot of time there.

The Borgata is the Palms of Atlantic City, the place is amazing and you really do feel like your in vegas. They have tons and tons of hot as hell waitress's running around, and the first time i was there i won $3600 on the roulette table. It is a younger crowd and they have been putting on alot of big name concerts there. The place is just fucking HUGE!!! Also if your going up to the boardwalk check out the Taj i have personally won a ton of money in the Donalds place. AC's nightlife is just like vegas now with all the high end clubs, check out the taj and the borgota for these.

Like everyone else said, hit the Borgata. I live by Atlantic City and I've never been in it yet, but everyone else I know loves it. I usually go to the Tropicana or Taj Mahal.

If you wanna hit the clubs, there's one in the Taj called the Casbah. Nice place but a bit pricey. There's another club in AC called Studio 6. You don't wanna miss that one.

I grew up in jersey and just went back to AC for the first time in about 5 years. Theyre still trying to reclaim the areas outside the boardwalk, theres some improvement, still pretty much a shithole though. Lots of new beach bars at a bunch of hotels, which is a newer trend. The one at the Hilton all the way down the end is pretty cool. You have to hit White House subs though while youre there, if its good enough for Sinatra and Martin then its good enough for me.

If you've ever been to Las Vegas, you'll hate AC. If not, you'll probably have a decent time in AC.

Definitely dont walk to the far end of the boardwalk past the Showboat.

My wife and I went to AC a few weeks ago and on our last day decided to get up early, walk to the far end and see the sunrise come up on the ocean. It was kinda overcast that morning and we couldn't see the sun come up, so we started heading back along the beach. Five minutes later we came upon a dead woman on the beach right where the water was breaking. We thought she was sleeping at first or just letting the waves hit her and relaxing but when we had gotten a few feet closer and the waves hit her, you could tell she was dead. Fucked up...

I lived in Margate(2 miles from AC) for 2 years and worked @ The Trop. Of course it is not Las Vegas but it has some great things to do.
My family has a boat @ Trump Marina. the outside bar the deck is pretty cool and has live music every day.
The Borgata is the shit..the gypsee bar is alot of fun and it is a great place to gamble. their spa is great! if you like poker harrah's also has nice poker rooms that are separate from the hussle of the casino.
If you like the beach go to ventnor or margate(walking distance from Ac). Also tons of bars in margate
If you do not mind a dry town go to Ocean City for the boardwalk and make sure you buy some johnson carmel popcorm!
