what's the deal with public nudity and or public voyeurism. Lets say strolling along the beach taking pics of babes and so on.

What kind of laws do you have to follow if any at all? would be in FL

You probably have the right to take pics of them and put them anywhere you want but you will still probably get sued. So hope you get enough money from using their image to deal with them trying to get you in court weither they win or not gonna cost you.

Well if the new 2257 rules go inot effect then you're going to have their info whether you got permisson or not.

The way people behave in public does not "entitle" them to have any consideration to have "privacy protection" from any laws.

It there are laws that provide this - they need changed.

On the other hand... that does not mean ya can stuff a lens up some womans underwear just because she is walking in a public place

Florida has laws on the books now covering that. I don't have it in front of me handy, but I know they did. If I recall they've criminalized that if you are going around taking pictures of girls without them knowing it and then using them commercially on adult websites.

yea that's pretty much how I understood it but wasn't sure. I know they were proposing that new anti-voyeurism law.. But as far as I know that hasen't been passed as of yet.

S0284 VIDEO VOYEURISM

It will be a crime to secretly film someone dressing or undressing. The state already outlawed voyeurism, which includes secretly watching or filming someone who could expect privacy. But, because of the advent of new technology, like cell phone cameras, the new law specifies video voyeurism as a crime and bans the distribution of the film either commercially or privately.

ok well I would take that to mean, dressing rooms, hotel rooms private back yards and so on... But I wonder if that would hold up on a public beach.

I think women do not go to a beach with the expectation for an adult webmaster to be there photographing them for a porn site.

Forget laws - used common sense for a moment. How the hell can any legislature create laws to "protect" common everyday public activity??

Any activity in "public" is just that - public. There are no follow on "rights" to actions in public and no person has any real valid claim against someone who produced an image of whatever they may do in public. If they want it "private" - bugger off and do it in private.

If some girl decides to exhibit herself in public and wear a bit of dental floss between her ass cheeks - she has no "rights" to moan. The only reason a pic would be taken is cos she displayed her ass in public - not a "normal" mode of dress

On the other hand... there is a valid reasoning for "active voyeurism" images - ie... upskirt pics or material shot by "hidden camera" blah.

Someone "meaningful" said "the law is an ass" - sometimes it sure is.

Isn't it funny though that most of these people sue for money, they are more angry that you were able to convert their image to money than the fact that they were "violated". I mean come on, some person takes a pic of you, photoshops it or leaves it the way it was and then money makes it all better eh?

But I am thinking he means more like "girls gone wild" type stuff not simply taking a pic. People have been taking pics of stars and selling them for years that is kinda hard to beat. From what I have been told states range on how they rule on things like that and you are pretty safe as long as the girl is not obviously under 18 in which case federal laws about child porn overule state laws about pictures in public being public domain

well the reason I'm asking this stuff is I now live in Daytona Beach.. I'm about 2 blocks from Main street. So during Spring Break, Bike Week, and even Biketober fest(sp?).. This place will be going off. Not to mention just the babes I see walking around all over the place on a normal sunny day.
