What do you do to lose wieght when you feel like you're getting a little fat?

I usually do lots of pushups and use the ab wheel on a regular basis. But I need to do more cardio.

Lately, I've been wanting to get in shape, so I have been different ab crunches and combos..workin on my legs, cardio and push ups.

Tai Chi is great for Cadio too...Running wears you out too quick (especially if you smoke), but running IS the best way to lose weight

I love those Step Machines..

pop on some music, and start going up stairs for an hour or two

they say it burns over 1200cal/hour

I love that machine

can't stand running for NO reason (I.E not for a sport) same for bicycling and not moving... it's just not logical

so steps are fine for me, since I don't usually find logical to go up stairs for 2 hours, beeing on a machine makes it OK

Believe it or not I started to gain weight from getting the munchies alot (noticed a bit of a beer gut), so now I do 500 crunches every nigth, and been going strong for 3 days

I'm lucky I've never had to worry about losing weight, but I've had to put on 20 pounds in 2 weeks. Here's what not to eat:

peanut butter

The nutritionist I saw told me to put it on everything I could.

I get on my Yamaha YZ 426 and burn laps, hard moto burns the beer gut real fast I used to ride pro in my younger days.

Yeah, I could use a little cut in my weight also. I'm up to 200lbs right now and I'm 5'11". I used to be down by 180 when I was working my full time job walking all over the place, but since I became a full time webmaster a little over a year ago, I pretty much sit on here all day. I have to get off my ass and get something going.

Do any of you know of any of those "fat burning" pills that actually work. I've heard some horror stories of how some people had to get their stomaches cleaned out because the pills coated their stomaches with a thick film or something, that wouldn't be good, he he.

I should do another triathalon....
that always helps shed a couple inches off the waist........Fun too.
But I think I'll keep my reputation alive and just have a lot more sex for days at a time. I've done that before and man was I ever fit after like the third day.......non-stop cardio man! Can you dig it?

Although I agree with you about not taking speed (ephedrine) to lose weight (you are doing more damage to your body than being overweight that's for sure), I would have to disagree with you about the no carbs, as my fiancee (who is a bio-chemist) has told me a number of times it is purely a matter of "energy in=energy out"

As far as carbs, only unrefined whole grains and fiber...no refined sugars, white flours, white breads, whtie rice, potatoes, etc. (basically anything white ) Not eating carbs entirely is very unhealthy for the body in the long run and in the short run can cause all kinds of imbalances. But, as I said, the vast majority of people consume the wrong kind of carbs, so if you aren't willing to eat the right kinds than it IS probably better for your body to not eat them at all.

Bottom line...burn more than you eat. Drink water, stay away from alcohol (which is the worst thing for gaining wait, it's a double whammy, body processes it as pure sugar..raises insulin to where your body immediately stores it as fat AND your liver holds on to the fat and makes it harder to burn than the fat you would get from a big mac) moderate daily exercise and keeping calories at a minimum.

Having said all that, even though I know that this is how you do it...I don't I'm pretty good with the carbs part and eating healthy and semi-low cal, which is the only reason I'm not as big as a cow. I didn't start drinking until I was 25 and have noticed a big difference, I used to be as a thin as a rail effortlessy, no longer (oh and being 5'8'' helps, the fat kinda distributes itself better LOL)

about 3 years ago i went on a VERY low fat diet, and did alot of running. i ate alot of carbs, and cut excess sugar out of my diet. I lost over 50 Lbs in 2 months. now maybe it's just my body type, but when i tried to bulk up, and eat more protein, and less carbs, i started to gain weight. so that protein diet is crap. At least for me...

drink milk instead of eating some snack/crap - i go through about 4 litres of milk a day and am just under 10 stone (no, i am 5'10" not 5'2"!!!!!!)

but basically you have to eat less than you use up - a chocalate bar needs about a 5 mile run to use up

This all sounds like good advice.
Also, if you're too lazy to go running or do cardio of some sort, then lift weights or do pushups and ab exersices a lot. Listen to your body when it comes to eating and try to distinguish the craving for a snack from a natural hunger that comes when your body needs food. I bleieve that fruits and vegetables are good in abundance and everything else in moderation.
