Miss GFY - Should she be disqualified or not?

Big debate in our office.

Argument for disqualification:
Some think she should be disqualified because the GFY logo is not in the pic and "it's a given" that it should be.

Argument against:
The rules do not say you have to see the logo.

Let the masses decide!

Make no mistake, she is hot as hell! But do no vote on that.

Here are the Round 3 instructions:
ROUND THREE CHALLENGE: This rounds challenge is to produce the best pic of yourself in the GFY tank top and panties. The best pic wins the $500 round 3 prize. 10 Girls will be knocked out this round. Since we are mailing the clothes, the round will end on June 11.

I think that as much as it is a great image and she looks great.....I thought the point of the pic was to be seen in our GFY tank & thong...and nothing in that image shows that she is really wearing it...I own lots of white tanks & thongs..

In the spirit of GFY , my opinion is that the full GFY logo on the tank and the thong were supposed to be included in the image. That's what I thoght when I shot mine....wouldn't have done it any other way !

Yeah, when I first saw that pic, my initial thought was "I don't see GFY anywhere in that pic at all."

I think to be a "miss" anything.. you have to be representing what you're going for. You can be damn sure a "miss coca cola" would be required to have the coca cola logo very visible in every pic.

I mean, I love the pic and all... but I'd have to go with "DQ" on this one. The logo should have been visible.

Rules are rules, and the rules did not say they had to see the logo. They say you have to wear the tank and thong .. She is definately wearing it.

Whether it's a "given" or not, doesn't matter. When you have a contest, the rules have to be clear, otherwise there are no grounds for disqualifying her.

edit: I should note that I agree that it is a given and she SHOULD be showing it, but that doesn't make the fact that the rules never specified it, any different.

I agree. While she's very pretty, she could be wearing any similar outfit. There was a long-time member and contestant (sorry I can't remember who offhand) who had to drop out because she didn't get her outfit in time. She could have just as easily wore something else that was similar but she wanted to comply with the rules. It isn't fair to the girl who backed out to allow someone else who isn't showing the logo to stay in.

WFT? There was nothing in the rules about having to show the Logo. If there was I would have done that. I have some other pics from that set that have the logo on it I would have submitted that one if I knew that.

You can "think" what you want to...but the unpopular position will be that you didn't specify it in the rules...so how can she break a rule that does not exist?

Well, if it wasn't IN the rules, then no, she didn't break the rules.

On the flip side, every other submitter realized they needed to have the GFY logo shown (in fact, I believe several said they picked pictures based on how well it was shown).

I'm going to abstain from voting on this one - it needs to be a Lensman decision

I think technically she did what the instructions required. She's wearing the gfy tank and panties (unless you think she's lying about that part), so I don't see what you could boot her for. I honestly would have never noticed it if it hadn't been pointed out.

The picture is Hot as hell and she looks great.

However, all of the girls made an effort with their creativity to make sure the GFY logo was shown.

If the other girls had the opportunity not to show the logo, perhaps their creativity wouldn't of been as limited.

I definitely see the side of the argument that states it should be a "given" that the GFY logo should be seen .. however, I am a purist .. the rules made no clear statement requiring it, therefore I do not feel it fair to disqualify her.

Maybe you could reach a compromise and have her re-shoot the photo? I think that would appease both sides.. and in the future make sure it's stated as a rule.

I can assume that she is wearing the GFY tank and thong but that wasn't the point of the photo contest.

Lets bring up another point... correct me if Im wrong but didn't Kitty drop out because she lives in Austraila or something like that and didn't get her GFY gear in time? Im sure she could have found a generic white tank and thong to take a picture in.

Although the pic is very nice and well done, there could have been an effort made to take a pic with the GFY logo showing.

I say she should be disqualified.

Anyways, while it was implied in the rules that you see the logo, it wasn't stated. I don't think you can disqualify her for not being as astute as some of the other contestants

I think in this case you'll have to let it go. The rules actually say they're supposed to be IN the tank top and panties and there's a bunch that weren't actaully wearing both items, never mind that the rules didn't say you had to see the logo.

This is why companies should really think about throwing contests.

Back in my short stint in mainstream I did some work with an online auction company and they ran a contest until they found out about all of the legal issues involved...yeah I've seen the "disclaimer" however it's exactly things like these that need to be spelled out or you are opening yourself up to the possibility of litigation.

There are tangible rewards for this contest which someone's chances of winning are being compromised because people don't quite understand 'CONTRACTS!!!!" LOL
