Why and for what we are there is not that difficult to figure out for me. I just hope that in the Moore movie I see a lot of war action. Here is what incites terrorism:

1) The divisiveness in America, which the terrorists can readily see, merely gives them courage, and thus resuts in more American deaths. They would like to influence want takes place in elections here, just as they did in Spain.

The Democrats WANT the effort in Iraq to fail, since it will make Bush look bad. Each casualty on either side makes Bush look bad, and so the Democrats EFFECTIVELY profit from each American death. Partisan politics at its worst.

2) Michael Moore's movie gives the terrorists courage, and results in more American deaths.

The successful establishment of a democracy in that region would be great for the world. Ah, no it's not. The Democrats have proven that the only thing they care about is the defeat of Bush -- war in Iraq and American soldiers be damned. Ted (pour me another one) Kennedy has done nothing but insult our troops. I can imagine Kennedy being one of those who spat upon the American troops when they arrived home from Vietnam.

If that is true, 2 things can be pointed out:
1) They aren't occurring in the US - rather take it to them than allow them to bring it here
2) That's only because we created an image of ourselves as a *paper tiger* that would run at the first sight of a body bag when we withdrew from Somalia.
3) And also because of the opposition here in the US providing them with a source of encouragement. It perpetuates their belief that we can't take violence and will eventually withdraw because of it. They though the Koreans would be like Spain. Spain's withdrawal also gave them courage.

Any sign of weakness on our part or our allies makes them stronger and fortifies their belief that they will succeed.
