..i just found out this moment my grandmother from my mothers side of the family has cancer
she had some fluid in her lungs and they extracted it and put her on oxygen and they tested the fluid and it came back positive for cancer. we dont know what kind of cancer, its being tested now so i will hear what kind it is soon, my heart is broken, i love my grandmother so fucking much. she hasnt smoked in over 18 years, i dont know exactly how long, but i know she quit before i was born. why the hell does life do us like this, why the fuck must there be such an illness that just slowly eats you away. I have lost my favorite aunt awhile ago due to cancer, why take another loved one from me. god i wish this was a bad dream but its not i am going to go have a quiet dinner now, ill talk to you guys later. |

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's. I also lost my aunt to cancer she was only 43 and just got married 6 months before her passing. Spend your time with your grandmother I didn't get the chance to and wished I did. |

Having lost my grandparents to cancer and alzeimer's I know your pain bro-
It doesn't get any easier either. I lost my best friend and a roommate as well much too young...but life does go on. Just spend as much quality time with her in the next year- you will be so glad you did. Elders have seen it all and been through so much, their guidance is what helps me thrive today. I learned a lot from my grandparents. One thing I learned from them is never buy anything, you can't immediately pay cash for- My grandparents never spent a dime in interest their entire lives.... It's just unfortunate that my grandfather who worked all his life selling jewelry in retail, was able to save close to a million dollars in his lifetime, only to see it all get eaten up by the doctors, nursing homes, and funeral costs. :-(( I know if he had seen what was going to happen to him and if he was of able mind- he would have just shot himself in the head and handed us all his money instead... That was the kind of integrity my Grandpa Freddie had. I miss him dearly. Be strong- and my prayers go out to you.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Both of my grandmother's died before I was born, so I was unable to have that grandmother love. But keep your head high, have hope, and be supportive towards her.

I wish you and your family the best. Very tough times indeed. My grandmother on my dads side just passed last week. You just have to make everyone comfortable and be there for each other.

My brother had a brain tumour two times - and still managed to survuve the multiple operations, the chemo and the radiation. You can't lose hope, and you always have to stay strong. I am not really a religious person, but I believe if you have faith, and you have people praying and thinking about you, this helps the recovery process. The body is capable of many things, and I really think that mind over matter helped my brother who is healthy and living a normal life.
I wish the best for your grandmother, and the rest of your family... |

R.I.P Grandma
6/20/04 I am up north now, i did get to see her, she couldnt talk at the time, she could move her lips for us to read them though, and she was able to open her eyes and see us all there for her. i am going to really miss her alot, she was a wonderful woman and i only wish that one day if i ever do have a daughter of my own, that she will turn out just like her. i love you grandma. |
