Having lost my grandparents to cancer and alzeimer's I know your pain bro-
It doesn't get any easier either. I lost my best friend and a roommate as well much too young...but life does go on.
Just spend as much quality time with her in the next year- you will be so glad you did. Elders have seen it all and been through so much, their guidance is what helps me thrive today.
I learned a lot from my grandparents. One thing I learned from them is never buy anything, you can't immediately pay cash for-
My grandparents never spent a dime in interest their entire lives....
It's just unfortunate that my grandfather who worked all his life selling jewelry in retail, was able to save close to a million dollars in his lifetime, only to see it all get eaten up by the doctors, nursing homes, and funeral costs. :-((
I know if he had seen what was going to happen to him and if he was of able mind- he would have just shot himself in the head and handed us all his money instead... That was the kind of integrity my Grandpa Freddie had.
I miss him dearly. Be strong- and my prayers go out to you.
