Have you tried looking in Control panel then looking at the power options?

Toshibas have their own control setting program, outside of control panel.

Start > All Programs > Toshiba Console

Actually there should be a "Toshiba Power Saver" in the control panel...

Also be sure you are set up as an admin on your own machine..

Make sure you are logged in as ADMINISTRATOR

start>control panel>power options>click Hibernate Tab.

Toshiba is the same as any other computer.

It's based on the operating system not the computer!

you may need to adjust your BIOS settings before those options will appear in control panel.

Not familier with Toshiba or I would give you step by step...
