Two -- This is a web-based industry, at the big shows photography happens. Three -- Shit happens. Four -- Both photography and shit happens. Five -- People take pics at shows. There is something to be said for staying away from the shows if you don't want your pic taken. Six -- people that photographically cover the webmaster shows can't be expected to never make a mistake and include someone they shouldn't in the odd picture. By the same token, photographers should not laugh when someone directly asks them to refrain from taking their picture. Obviously such requests should be taken seriously, as this thread clearly shows. |

I didn't get the job because i am eye candy , hell i don't even take pictures ! :1orglaugh There are some reps I have encountered don't even know some basic easy terminology not neccessarily chicks too :2 cents: |

There are all kinds of peeps shooting pics and posting them, good luck in getting them to remove it:2 cents: |

It is pretty unreasonable to demand that your picture not be taken when so many people make their living by covering these events. A person could go mental just trying to track down every photog that shot pics at even one internext, there must be dozens if not hundreds. |

JFK my problem lies not because you took the pics of me and posted it up on your site that is the least of my concern at the moment , its when you came up to me and verbally attacked cussing me out at the table in public with everyone around. I had no idea it was coming it freaked me out |
I think the moral of this thread is that certain pics should never make the web, like this one for example

Seven --- This is a high-tech industry, we are all (or should be all) professionals on one level or another. Let's try to act like it. An all-out public rant with flipping fingers and swearing, especially in front of others, isn't the way to go. Not at a show, not in a restaurant, not anywhere. Even in private there are better ways to drive home a point that keeps things professional. Threads like this don't always have to be a pissing match. They can also be a learning experience. |
And Webgirl, you do create quite a problem with your non-photo policy. The problem is that to those of us who have seen your picture.... well, we WANT to see more pics of you. I believe the few glimses of you I've seen in various pics says it all.... you're not so bad to look at.
Stop torturing everyone. You have some loyal fans here. Your ducking and hiding from cameras is annoying to them. :D |

If they were sitting down IN the tub, side by side so you don't know where their hands are, now THAT would be disturbing. |

Another thing that's always amused me is when 2 guys (strictly friends) want to catch a movie in a theater, they have to sit with AT LEAST 1 empty seat between them. That one little seat in the movie theater can make all the difference in the world when it comes to determining a man's sexual preference. But what I don't get is... why even bother going with somebody if you're not even going to sit by them? |

Webgurl is not obsessed about it and I have never seen her be dramatic or over react when someone is snapping away. Considering her preference to not being the center of attention in pics, she has always bitten her tongue and been polite rather than cause an incident or try to get her wishes met by throwing a tantrum. I have seen her pushed into pics by being held against someone or someone sneaking up to her... and smiling for the sake of the party even though she didn't want to be in the pics...so if anything she is the last person I would believe to be responsible for such a heated reaction to her wanting her pics removed. |
