Right-O Eric, but I also hear Aaron.

Another thing to consider is that for many of us in the biz who spend all of our waking hours in front of the box, our peers that we see at the shows are often our "only" friends, confidants, and "family." Lot's of emotional issues come up, lots of shoulders get cried on, and often, "too much information" is given out...

It's also people like that who win a few million in the lotto.

I sometimes wish I ws clueless...like the girls in "simple life"..NOT
but I'd love to have that kind of $$ at my disposal..Life would be so much easier..*sigh*

Dingbats is right...for ex....last night, I was bartending and this waitress asks me for a water..I hand her a mini bottle and she looks at it and says.."what's that?" like she's never seen one b4..and says"so is it just tap?"...Are you kidding me?? I couldn't help but laugh my ass off..she thought the bottle was filled from the tap and we sold it..fucking moron!!!:1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Deb, I hear you loud and clear!! lol:winkwink: Sometimes I just wanna smack them upside the head and say "WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!"

The question is... if I hire a hot 95 lb female rep and she sucks your dick, will you send me traffic?

I think a bigger issue is that there are women in this industry and they find themselves in situations where they are partying with guys and the guys think that they can get all touchy feely with them. Then when the girl gets pissed off at them. The guy thinks they are a bitch, tease, whatever word anyone wants to insert here.

Not to say that I haven't seen some people both guys and gals that have gotten out of control at shows due to booze and even drugs. I think targeting a couple girls here, when this is something that happens on a much broader spectrum is pretty weak.

No, the drunken factor is not the bigger issue here. Reps blowing or fucking other people is also not a factor in this thread.

You want to call me weak for starting a thread while keeping in mind 2 specific and recent events? Gee....I'm sorry. NOT.

Call me biased or even sexist all you want but I have never seen a male rep break down in tears, throw a tempter trantrum, or fake a seizure because they were not getting enough attention. BOTH the people I have in mind were showing signs of this BEFORE they started drinking. Toss 2 or 3 drinks into an unstable 95 pound person and watch the situation compound itself.

I started a thread about the people who trashed your Webmaster Accesss Show in Santa Monica and you didn't seem to have a problem with that.....But when I mention that this particular rant involves 2 females.....You and a couple others come and try to play "Captain Save-A-Hoe."

There was also another thread where I caught heat for stating that some females in this industry are hired not for the business skills that they possess but for "other reasons".....Looks.....whatever.

This is life, these are facts, if you can't handle them then shuffle yourself on over to hugsandkisses.com.

I sometimes think this is why not everyone even takes these "affiliate managers" or "female board reps"seriously.

Some of these people have ZERO KNOWLEDGHE of being a webmaster, but they land "affiliate manager" jobs

hahahah

most of us can pick up "why they got the job" and what their "position really is."

why would drugs, sex, or a need for attention make someone less worthy as a person?

Getting a little defensive here Aaron. I didn't even see my post directed at you.

Big difference between someone being destructive and destroying property, and someone just giving you a little bit of a hard time when they have had a little bit to drink. People emotions get out of whack when they drink especially when they are coming down from the buzz.

From what I heard in one of the situations the girl apologized to you and you said to her "FUCK YOU!" this was not just from her but from the ONE other person present. Wow dude... One other person there hearing her yell at you when she was drunk. That is really going to ruin your rep. I think you might just want to take this type of stuff in stride I mean we have all had people yell at us, or had weird situations arise cause of altered states at shows. That doesn't mean we bring it here to the board.

Just something for you to think about before we instantly jump on someone, especially publicly.

I mean unless your sole gain is to ruin someones reputation and that just seems a bit destructive in nature. Who knows maybe that was your intention.

Evil Chris 06-18-2004 11:13 AM

K, I'm hiring a rep now. Wondering what I should put in the ad. Any help?

was thinking something like "Must like to travel, drink and party (drugs optional)", also mention "Sales and marketing skills a plus" maybe throw in a "Good looks important".

Am I missing anything?

Who do you think you are to second guess my intentions?

Eric, you and I have known each other for awhile now.....When I want to ruin someones reputation, how many times do I leave their names out of the discussion? Never.

Yes, the girl you are referring to was one of the two in question. Personally, I don't mind the fact that she yelled at me. Big fucking deal. The issue with that girl lasted for almost an hour and a half while she had her little nervous breakdown.

I accept appologies when they are meant....Not when they are said mearly to save face. We all fuck up...Yes, that includes me too...But I will never apologize unless I mean it and I sure as hell will not start trembling, cover my head, and burst into a psycho tear filled rant if the person does not accept my apology.

The fact is I dodged her lame ass apology for damn near half an hour before she finally put me on the spot and asked if I accepted it. I told her no, she spazzed out...THEN I told her to fuck off.

I never second guessed anything. That would be me saying you are DOING something. I just stated MAYBE that was your intention. Even concluded stating that who knew what your intentions were.

I think you are taking all of this a little too seriously. Fine you don't accept her apology, FINE, don't talk to her any more. Have your opinion of why you don't do business with her and move on.

My question to you would be why is it needed to be public here on the board. No you didn't mention names but you mention events whether or not you mentioned names people are second guessing who these people are based on those events.

You want to say you are keeping them hidden by not mentioning their names but then you state what happened. Do you really think there is a difference?

Guess I am just wondering why this was made public. The events that is. Fine you want to call girls in the industry mental bitches. I really don't care. Call me a mental bitch. I am sure I have had my moments where I have been everything from a prick to a french kissing manloving boy slut!

That is it... I am officially a Mental Bitch. You must all refer to me as such from now on!

Well, if I did...That was not my intention. We all have our deamons and those struggles do not detract from the value of our lives as humans. How we deal with them can directly affect our perceived worth in business though.

Example: I publicly post my opinions on GFY and intentionally leave out names and certain details that could directly point fingers at the specific people involved. At this point, all I am doing is ranting.

Then, other come into my thread and post more specific info about one of the people involved. This is not within my control.

FACT....[disclaimer] On average [/disclaimer] Women are much more emotional than men.

Learn to control those emotions in public and know when booze or other substances will limit your control of those things.

Jesus Christ, Chris....

Because I go to these shows for business purposes for the most part and I am not interested in watching several people babysit somebody who is not able to control their emotions.

One of these people went off on me during her breakdown. Here is the nuts and bolts of it.

She was busy judging me for my judgement of others. How fucking hypocritical is that?

My attitude was this: "You are accusing me of doing the very thing that you are doing to me right now. STFU so we can all get back to the party, and do what we came here to do."

See how simple that is? I said what I had to say and was ready to move on. After almost 1.5 hours of this shit, I finally told her to fuck off.

Hey Mental Bitch......Correct me if I am wrong but didn't your company create this monster that is known as GFY? In case you have not noticed....This place feeds off of this shit. This thread is living proof of that.

You can thank me for it privately if you wish. I am quite used to people showing different faces on the board than they do in public. You're little friend was a bit shocked that I handled the situation the very same when we were face to face as I would on GFY.

I have been witness to more than one mental breakdown and have had one of my own at a show it is not pretty but fuck it.

we are not all mentally stable people and why would anyone sit in a public forum and make the situation worse ..

Aaron i understand where you are coming from totally but remember these poor people that you consider mentally unstable might just be sensitive and are reading the things that you are stating and making them hurt more... Not cool from my seat here...

Just let it go cause some day hopefully no time soon you too will have some sort of breakdown and god forbid you do not have people making fun of you but helping you and talking about it ..
