Polls like this are no good. The people who have been outside the US are more likely to vote than the people who arent.

I know this wasn't the question, but I can post anything because God is Brazilian.

I've never been outside Brazil.

Its a good question. Only like 10-15% of Americans have passports. Sometimes when I forget my drivers license I bring it in the store to buy beer. Half the time cashiers try not to accept it and I have to argue the point.

How old are you? I never had problems buying booze in the supermarket. The only time they asked for ID was at the round bar in the Venetian in Vegas. But supermarkets, never.

Beats me..But if you're not aware, Europe isn't a country.
I've personally been to all continents except australia and antartica.

Yes been 2 a lot of countries in Europe.

Was in the Army in the 1960's ( free love days) . Bought a new little VW in 1964. When I would go on leave I would pay the guy that did the reports $1.00 per day, he wouldn't report me as being on leave so I got more than 30 days per year. Also got paid for the leave days I didn't take when I got out.

I might add I had on hell of a good time in Europe.

I've been all over the world. If there's a Hard Rock Cafe, chances are...I've been there. Thankfully, it was always on their dime and I got to see the world AND get paid for it.

Most people who live in Eurpoe pride themselves on the fact that they have been to many other countries and at the same time revel in the fact that a good number of Americans haven't. Keep in mind that our country is most likely several times larger than your country. Some of our states are larger than your country. For us to even get to Canada or Mexico could take quite some time.

For us to travel somewhere other than Canada or Mexico would involve getting on a plane and flying for several hours which is impractical for a majority of Americans.

Funnily enough.. there's more cultural differences between neighboring countries in europe than there are between east-coast and west-coast. What's your point?

Impractical? Lol.. I don't travel to be practical, I travel because I want to see the world.

Have you ever been to the US? Go to Fargo, North Dakota, then to Los Angeles, California, then to Dallas, Texas, then on to New York, New York and then try to tell me that there isn't more of a cultural difference than most neighboring countries have.

Like I said, for us to travel someplace, we have to spend a substantial amount of money and that is not possible for a majority of Americans. We can't go someplace else for a couple of days like Europeans can.

Yes. Mexico, CA, Caribbean area. England, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, northern part of Italy (but none of the places I really wanted to go), Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein. I would really, really like to see Rio, Rome, Spain and Greece.

Yes. I've been to miami, NY, LA, Chicago, Dallas and Hawaii in the US...
The places all have
- Same food
- Same language
- Same currency (so does EU now though)
- Same values

Now.. italy and switzerland are not too far apart and there's hardly anything the same in these countries, landscape, food, language or people. See the point.
Why argue? You cannot possibly believe that ONE country is as versatile as many, regardless of the landarea it covers.

I'm not putting people down because they don't travel, that's their choice. I just find the amount of people who have never left their home country amazing. (..and yet bash europe for example )
I don't know of a single person who hasn't been abroad.
