Ibill Join Pages Down!

Hi. I hate to always be the ibill bearer of bad news. I just noticed that their join pages are coming up HTTP 500 error about 10 to 25% of the time. I tested this on Twistys, Scoreland, UltraWired, Atk and others. Looks like this is a problem effecting all ibill clients.

I've never seen that HTTP 500 error page and I hang out on those join pages a whole lot.

I'm sure they'll get it fixed up right away. Ibill is a fine company who always puts their customers first.

Direct Fiesta. Hit reload on your sites. I'm sure you'll see what I mean. I just got off the phone with ibill. I explained the problem and the support guy was trying to tell me noting was wrong. Then he ran a test and BAM no join page loaded. His tone changed REAL FAST. Apparently he's sent it to the IT department to get this fixed.

Damn.. and after all that good news for them earlier this week too.

500 error sounds like some sloppy permissions on one of their join servers.

Hey Soul. What site? I'm 99% sure they are having the same problem. Try hitting the join page 10 times. See how many times it comes up. When Scoreland has ibill problems every client has ibill problems.

This looks like a minor glitch.

The biggest trouble we have with Ibill nowadays is with WEB900 clients getting invalid PIN codes. Ibill doesn't seem to have a solid solution for this one.

iBill Operations is investigating this issue right now. I will update the board as I get additional information.

Update from iBill on reported paypage issue. Our initial evaluation indicates that this appears to be an isolated issue and may be due to either an ISP issue on Shaps end or an issue with Akamai who we use to cache paypages around the globe. We have checked transaction volumes and they appear to be normal. In addition, we use an 3rd party that constantly monitors our page loading. We have checked with that vendor and they also report no current issues. We will continue to investigate the issue.

Mmmm... for what supposed to be a "real processor" - there sure is a lot of downtime or "technical problems"

The track record is not too bright!

The problem was isolated to one of many production point of sale servers which would have caused intermittent issues and has been fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks Shap for working with us on this.

LOL, I love statements like that.

"Nothing's broken here, it's you, dummy!"

"Oh, it was us, we rule!"

Glad it got fixed in the end.
