Who has GPS in their car/truck?

Been playing around with the one from Hertz, it's pretty cool, but the machines themselves are about $1400 each, but is their a monthly fee after to stay on the GPS system or is it a one time thing?

I have seen that Hertz offers free GPS upgrades but I haven't tried it yet.

I am kinda old school though and usually get by quite nicely with this...

I only use one on our boat. there are chips for different areas. When we moved our boat from maryland to NJ the new chip we bought cost about $250 bucks.
if u have ever read a nautical map it is a pleasure to have a gps system!

Garmin has one that I can plug into a laptop, so I can swap it out from cars,
What models do you guys have? Should I go with a big one that stays in the car or a handheld model?

I'll be helping a buddy install a computer and GPS unit with touch screen in his car probably sometime in July. Total cost for everything (screen included) will only be like $800 US. Not too shabby really.

You can't afford to go to a show that's 3 hours away from you, but you can buy a GPS? You are a true bozo.

I've had GPS in all of my cars... OEM and after market. The OEM is much better (at least from Lexus) so if they make if for your car, get it from the dealer. It's worth the extra money. At the very least, make sure it's touchscreen. Voice and remote controlled are very cumbersome. What make of vehicle?
