How difficult is photoshop cs to use... OMG!
Its really hard. I have used fireworks all my life. But today i though i would have a go at photoshop cs, cause its the best isnt it. it may be the best but its effin hard to use. all these keyboard short cuts etc, man. could do with pluging to make all the cool text effects, cause i read a couple tutorials and cant do any of them any advice, any real good (for dummies like me) tutorial sites out there. anyone willing to talk to me on icq about photoshop cs, all geeks welcome. 309196660 |

				 | You just have to get used to the interface ... and it's very easy to use seriously when you don't know any other graphic program . And not harder then any other photoshop versions |

				 | And for text effect, type some text (it will automaticly make a layer). Go to the layer small windows, right click and there is bending options . Here are the effects, no need for a plug-in . Most designers rarely use plugins in photoshop |

				 | Dude... i hear ya. I've been using Jasc's Paint Shop Pro all my webbing life. Tried my hand at PS 7.0 the other day... made some clouds... wrote some text that looked crappy... gonna take a lot of getting used to. I know ALL the keyboard commands for PSP. Like learning to drive a stick all over again!

				 | I have used Photoshop since V. 5.5 and use 7.0 now, it was very very easy going to each version. Fireworks rocks too. I see no reason to upgrade to CS.

				 | Photoshop is pretty easy to use, and this is coming from a programmer, not a designer... You are probably too used to fireworks and that's why you are having problems....

				 | I have been using PS for over a year. CS since November (mainly for the raw format capabilities). I would say I am barely an intermediate user.... I find almost everything counter intuitive. But when you do get you workflow down, there is nothing close to PS

				 | I have Photoshop CS. Its the best graphics program if you don't mind the steep learning curve you need to master it. But once you do, nothing else comes close to the powerful graphics tools you can create with on there.

				 | If you're going to use PS use 7.0, CS is just bullshit.. why is every other version terrible? 5.5 good, 6.0 not, 7.0 good, CS not. Fucking takes two versions to get the shit right. |

				 | Hell I still prefer 3.0 or 4.0.. no need for all that other bullshit. 3.0 is when they introduced layers.. what else do we need besides that to make our lives easier? Try learning on 2.5 and you will laugh at how easy all the other versions are.

The differences between Photoshop 5.5 through 7 are slim imo CS has some added goodies/improvements for 16bit editing I have 7 and don't think it's worth my $$$ to upgrade to CS
