as far as i know xp does not have that anymore. only the console. but i might be wrong.

have to use a boot disk as xp doesn't sit on top of dos like the older versions..
Tell your friend to try http://www.allbootdisks.com to get a new boot disk... Hope this helps Juicy

he's gonna need to make a boot disk in order to do that, http://bootdisk.com/ has all dos versions and other utils he might need

a cd works like a bootdisk, just make sure you have cd boot set in bios
