I went to Dickson ,Tenn for a computer animation course a little over a year ago.. LOL the school was pretty cool, but outside that the Hippest thing in town was Wal-Mart.. We used to go there just to check out the funky looking rednecks in cammo.

I grew up here, and I sure the hell didn't like it then. I then lived in Washington state for 7 years, and miss the hell out of it. Not too hot, fewer bugs, smaller idiot ratio, and the rednecks tended to stay hidden for fear that the freaks would hunt them down and squash them or something.

I wanna go back. But nooooooooooooooooooooooo, hubby wants to go someplace where he can fuckin surf.

Translation: California. I'll be there maybe a month before I go postal.

But, the rednecks are not quite as vocal here, that's true. Nor are they as visible...and you're right...damned few bugs with most of them recognisable....

I can't say I agree about the idiot ratio...everywhere I've lived had a pretty high quotient.

But, we do have the mountains, the ocean, the trees....I'll go outside for you and send you WA thoughts, while I stand barefoot on the grass (which you can't do in Tennesee because of the deadly fire ants) and I'll blow you a gentle breeze from today and hope you go where you want to be as soon as possible, because I know how you feel.
