AP News posts Proof US Attacked Wedding Party

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...ea/iraq_attack

Do you believe your Government? The Bush Administration and the U.S. military caught lying about the murder of over 40 people.

Such incidents with digital cameras won't happen anymore, Rumsfeld is putting a stop to it.

Rumsfeld bans camera phones

Quote:
MOBILE phones fitted with digital cameras have been banned in US army installations in Iraq on orders from Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, The Business newspaper reported today.

Quoting a Pentagon source, the paper said the US Defence Department believes that some of the damning photos of US soldiers abusing Iraqis at Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad were taken with camera phones.

"Digital cameras, camcorders and cellphones with cameras have been prohibited in military compounds in Iraq," it said, adding that a "total ban throughout the US military" is in the works.

What does even being in Iraq have anything to do with fighting terrorism. This is such Bullshit.

The administaration has completely blurred the issue of iraq with fighting terrorism.
They have nothing to do with each other.

you're absolutly correct.

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

The wedding video is during the main portion of the party. The bombing occured in the early hours of the morning towards the end of the party. Do you normally video 8-9 hours of the wedding party?

The second video was taken by AP the day after the murders.

I agree. The last fucking thing when I am getting bombed is to go looking for my camcorder so I can film myself dying!

I lived through several very large car bomb attacks in Peru during the late 80s and early 90s. I can tell you diving for cover is the only thing I had on my mind when the bombs went off.

(added) I had to replace all the windows of my apartment on two ocassions.

I went downstairs to see if my family members in the rest of the building were still alive. I never in my mind thought about running outside to see what happened till several hours later.

Most people on Earth don't go around filming with a camcorder. It is a very American thing to do.

You must also take into account that most of the people at the party were killed.

cold_ice, you need to accept the fact that we failed in Iraq. The best way to prevent more America deaths is to bring them home.

No, its not American thing.. It?s a 19 year pot head who knows about war as much as Richard Simons knows about women. Yes, surely if it was him out there watching his children/wife/mother die under 500 lbs bombs he would garb his camcorder and videotape it

I'm thinking even at the wedding, there was very likely some insurgents there discussing some rebellious operation or another. However, the fact remains that most of the dead are women and children. This was not a successful operation unless the army is aiming for mass murder.

You really are a fucking moron. No wonder you didn't quote the next few paragraphs:

"But video that APTN shot a day after the attack shows fragments of musical instruments, pots and pans and brightly colored beddings used for celebrations, scattered around the bombed out tent.

The wedding videotape shows a dozen white pickup trucks speeding through the desert escorting the bridal car decorated with colorful ribbons. The bride wears a Western-style white bridal dress and veil. The camera captures her stepping out of the car but does not show a close-up.

An AP reporter and photographer, who interviewed more than a dozen survivors a day after the bombing, were able to identify many of them on the wedding party video which runs for several hours.

APTN also traveled to Mogr el-Deeb, 250 miles west of Ramadi, the day after the attack to film what the survivors said was the wedding site. A devastated building and remnants of the tent, pots and pans could be seen, along with bits of what appeared to be the remnants of ordnance, one of which bore the marking "ATU-35," similar to those on U.S. bombs."

A videotape obtained Sunday by Associated Press Television News captures a wedding party that survivors say was later attacked by U.S. planes early Wednesday, killing up to 45 people. The dead included the cameraman, Yasser Shawkat Abdullah, hired to record the festivities, which ended Tuesday night before the planes struck.

He must have been just a part time terrorist according to US sources.

You can believe what ever story you want 2 me I'm going to believe the DOD story until they retrack it.

And if it's true you can be dam sure that the AP nor ABC won't come out and say they fucked up. give you odds 10 to 1

Kimmett was on Geraldo not two ago hours backpedaling on the DoD version of the story! The U.S. Government lies. WMD? Saddam's relationship with Al Queda? The immediate threat Iraq was to world terrorism... the list is endless. Did you see the Zinni interview on 60 Minutes? Here is a former 4 star Marine General (formerly a Middle East diplomat of Bush) disagree with everything the Bush administration has done during this horrible mess.

Don't forget the prison abuse scandal which was sanctioned by MI when the DoD was saying it was an isolated case of a few non-coms!
