What does even being in Iraq have anything to do with fighting terrorism. This is such Bullshit.
The administaration has completely blurred the issue of iraq with fighting terrorism. They have nothing to do with each other. |
hey, in a state of war i have 100 people over and shoot guns into the air as well

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998 "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002 |

I lived through several very large car bomb attacks in Peru during the late 80s and early 90s. I can tell you diving for cover is the only thing I had on my mind when the bombs went off. (added) I had to replace all the windows of my apartment on two ocassions. |

Most people on Earth don't go around filming with a camcorder. It is a very American thing to do. You must also take into account that most of the people at the party were killed. cold_ice, you need to accept the fact that we failed in Iraq. The best way to prevent more America deaths is to bring them home. |
oh well

I'm thinking even at the wedding, there was very likely some insurgents there discussing some rebellious operation or another. However, the fact remains that most of the dead are women and children. This was not a successful operation unless the army is aiming for mass murder.

"But video that APTN shot a day after the attack shows fragments of musical instruments, pots and pans and brightly colored beddings used for celebrations, scattered around the bombed out tent. The wedding videotape shows a dozen white pickup trucks speeding through the desert escorting the bridal car decorated with colorful ribbons. The bride wears a Western-style white bridal dress and veil. The camera captures her stepping out of the car but does not show a close-up. An AP reporter and photographer, who interviewed more than a dozen survivors a day after the bombing, were able to identify many of them on the wedding party video which runs for several hours. APTN also traveled to Mogr el-Deeb, 250 miles west of Ramadi, the day after the attack to film what the survivors said was the wedding site. A devastated building and remnants of the tent, pots and pans could be seen, along with bits of what appeared to be the remnants of ordnance, one of which bore the marking "ATU-35," similar to those on U.S. bombs." |
A videotape obtained Sunday by Associated Press Television News captures a wedding party that survivors say was later attacked by U.S. planes early Wednesday, killing up to 45 people. The dead included the cameraman, Yasser Shawkat Abdullah, hired to record the festivities, which ended Tuesday night before the planes struck.
He must have been just a part time terrorist according to US sources. |
You can believe what ever story you want 2 me I'm going to believe the DOD story until they retrack it.
And if it's true you can be dam sure that the AP nor ABC won't come out and say they fucked up. give you odds 10 to 1 http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...ea/iraq_attack http://www.dod.mil/news/May2004/n052...200405221.html http://abcnews.go.com/wire/World/ap20040523_1253.html |
