how the hell can the designer know how your site 'works' and you don't? What are you talking about not working? If you need something redesigned you hire a designer. If you need a script repaired, you hire a programmer.

I don't understand the basis for this thread.

I never expect a designer to redo work once all is paid and agreed to be done... that'd be using the good will of someone.

BUT, there's something different with programming. if you hire a programmer to build your entire site, and then maintain it, he should let you know how everything works by the time he leaves...

That's why everyone should always know how everything works WHILE someone does it for them... cuz then this shit don't happen.

You are correct, its a php programming and database issue.
